Thinking of getting chinese subbed version of Anego - don't think I can hold off on my curiosity any longer. Even if it takes me hours to slowly read the chinese subs :sweat:

Haven't seen Kanji post recently so no idea when the next ep will come out. I'm gonna be getting TVB chinese hardsubbed versions soon but I guess that won't help if you can't read chinese :sweat:

a mini spoiler..And I thought it was pretty much a happy ending for the SP. The fortune teller guy said Kurosawa and Naoko have something BIGGGG coming up lol which should be coughmarriagecough.. So you see Kurosawa being too scaredy to hear it out and Naoko over-excited.

haha curently in 9 eps. of anego and i enjoy watching it especially when jin shows up...i first saw jin in Gokusen 2 but it was like a so-so to me but when i got to watch anego due to my curiosity well....it pays! :dancing: suprisingly he was able to handle his mature role very well! he's sooooo kakoi!!!!

i wanted to comment on anego's story ending

after watching episode 10 finishing i felt like: is that all? then watched anego's special thinking it'd give a conclusive ending to the story but neither does. there's nothing more to anego than that? just an open ending after 10 episodes and a 2h special??? :shamefulcry:

does anyone feel like i do or otherwise is the ending enough "closed" rather than open to you? i mean, it's obvious they care for each other and will probably end up together, but still, i wanted to see the happy ending: kiss, hug, etc. :usuck:

^ I agree with you. I enjoyed the series, but was left with an empty feeling after watching it. I'm not satisfied with the ending. It's pretty much open to your imagination what happend at the end. The 2 hr special does help a bit, at least we know that they got together at the end.

Minna!I watched Anego special and I wonder, is the drama better?The special's ending is quite entertaining..

Same thoughts.. I thought too.. Was so excited to know there is 2-hr special and was so much looking forward to the continuation but.. hmm, another opening ending with no concrete answer between the two of them.. so sad.. but here, you can see the deep true feelings that they have for one another :)

My Review: 8/10

Anego was a fun drama to watch. I was really able to connect with Shinohara Ryokofs character, possibly because I feel like Ifm in her shoes. The supporting cast was brilliant, especially Tomosaka Rie and Toda Naho. Both were so convincing that Ifm almost afraid to watch another of their dramas for fear that the characters will be lost on me. The one thorn in my side was Akanishi Jin. I understand the casting director wanted someone young in appearance and in age, handsome and lovablec but I would have thought ggood actorh would also be a quality they would be looking for. Jinfs portrayal of Kurozawa was bland and tasteless. Ifm sure the bangs covering the eyes were intentional to hide the fact that he held absolutely no emotion throughout the entire drama. He did seem to improve near the end but he was still painful to watch. Luckily Shinohara Ryoko, who absolutely blew me away, carried his performance. This was my first exposure to her and Ifve become an instant fan. Shefs one of the most charismatic actresses I have ever come across! She and Jin had absolutely no chemistry, but she was still completely believable and her outstanding talent helped me to somewhat forgive Jinfs lack of it.

The plot was good, and I particularly enjoyed the story involving Eriko and Sawaki-san.

There were a lot of inconsistencies, like Naokofs sudden proposal to Kurozawa without a proper gbuilding uph,

but it was still an enjoyable drama and I had a great time watching it.

I watched the Special as well, since the drama is left open-ended, but 3/4 of it was pure flashback. It was tiring to watch and I ended up forwarding most of it because Ifd just seen all the scenes while watching the drama. The last 15 minutes are all you need to watch.

I liked how the end was again open-ended, but I was disappointed that there was no resolve. And Ifm not talking resolve through marriage or whatever. Ifm talking about consistency with the theme. Throughout the entire drama Naoko is struggling to find happiness simply with who she is, and this secures the reasoning behind why she ended up quitting her job and leaving her gold lifeh behind. However, at the end of the special, she appeared desperate and pathetic while trying to find out what the future holds for her. This completely erased any sense of growth she had experienced by the end of the drama.

So, although I enjoyed the drama, I found the Special disappointing.

i thought anego was a REALLY good drama... good plot, good character, and you cant forget about jin's hotness!! its been a while since i watched it the first time, but i havent found a drama that surpasses it yet... and believe me... i watch dramas. it probably doesnt suit everyone's taste but it was a home run for me!!!
