This skyrocked rating drama of the season has some similarities with Gokusen 1, but it's still interesting and very entertaining. The combination of the 5 main characters.. I dont' think it's as good as Gokusen 1.. Hiyato seems to be closer to Ryu.. and the other 3 tagging along... whereas Gokusen 1 the 5 main characters seem to have greater chemistry. Story wise.. though it has some similarities to 1, but not entirely. For this type of drama there are only so many ways to make the story go so... The role of Hiyato was well done.
I like both Gokusen 1 and Gokusen 2 hopefully there will be a Gokusen 3.

Overall I enjoyed the drama except its poor ending which lacks explaination to make the drama a whole. The drama stared out well and the characters' motives were clear. A test in search for the piano talent is conducted in every episode which can be quite bizarrd.
Asides from that the story moves fairly slowly and the ending leaves viewers walking away puzzled.

This is the first drama by Coming Century. They did a great job protraying their characters. This drama is has its funny and serious moments. It's very much like a family drama, but it also shows the difficulties of living on your own and growing up deciding what one wants to do with their life.

One of the best drama I've ever seen. The casts are wonderful espcially the five main water boys, their united friendships made the impossible possible. Every episode is entertaining, funny and meaningful. I've been skip watching Water Boys 1, and went straight to the very last episode. In my opinion, comparing the two Water Boys drama, Water Boys 2 is a lot better than Water Boys 1. Starting from the opening credits, WB2 looked a lot more professional then that of WB1. And the ending of WB2 is moving and very emotional compare to the latter. The syncronized swimming moves performed in the last episodes show some similarities to WB1 and the WB movie. If you think WB2 is a duplicate of WB1 then I would say WB1 is a duplicate of WB the movie. In WB2, the synconized swimming moves performed were some what more advanced and at times a lot more difficult. This is esp true for the 5 levels tower that almost all the WB took part of. Water Boys the movie didn't have the tower, and Water Boys 1 had a 4 levels towers, but fewer people participated.

The new version of Niji sung by Fukuyama Masaharu was just wonderful and perfect for WB2 theme song.

The casts in WB2 are fairly well known. Great chemistry for the five main WBs. They are energetic and lovable.

Water Boys 2 has higher public viewing ratings then Water Boys 1, but the difference weren't too drastic. I highly recommand Water Boys 2, and I do like it a lot better than Water Boys 1.
