Time to dust off this thread. :dancing:

You should've posted this yesterday, considering the time zone. :beaten:

Geez, a thread that surfaces every 4 years :headscratch:

I liked what I saw of the opening ceremony, but I didn't stay up til 1.30am for the Aussies to appear :bonk:

I watched the whole thing on the telly and it was amazing. BTW the Aussies turned up in blue, watery, attire, probably emphasizing their success in the water sports over the past decade.

It seems everyone's having a ball, maybe with the exception of a few delegations such as the North Koreans - they were dead somber.

Saw some of the pre-Olympics stuff....

BMX biking an Olympic sport???? :headscratch: :shakehead:

Some people on the IOC committee must've gotten their hands greased big time.

Some soccer (football) is on today, USA vs. Japan for instance.

I'm somewhat interested in basketball, football, track, swimming, and ping-pong for the Games. Except for basketball, I would not usually follow any of these sports during the year ... but for the Olympics I'll tune in a bit. :D

I having a ball watching those girls in ballcaps and white skirts who are just dancing for the whole time that this parade of nations is going on. Some of them look like they're getting pretty tired right about now.
