It sucks... :puppydog: At 14 years old, you need to follow the parents. :pout:

There's always the possibility of going back... :)

well, actually i returned alone! it's a long story that i won't bore you with but it still causes friction between us if it comes up in conversation.
my school mates in japan made a photo album for me plus a recorded message from everyone which i still have and listen to even after all these years. the year was 1985.

i enjoyed school much more than in england. people in japan accepted me as one of their own whereas here in the uk i always felt like an outsider.

...Not to mention they don't encourage mediocrity and stupidity, in school, like here. :(

atleast from the perspective of being a tourist and customer visiting Japan, i felt honored and treated with respect, even if Gaijin are not treated the same as a local. That whole thing on honor, respect, loyalty, of japan is something that is nice. But maybe i am glamourizing it a little, but you don't get that same feeling here or elsewhere, unless you visit Japan, personally.

Fantastic!!  Beautiful pic!

Feeling happy since I made a gallon of fresh squeezed grapefruit/orange juice, my citrus fruit are delicious this year.
(I was told its because of the fertilizer I use :hehe:)

I know isn't it? Sadly I can't take credit for those saucer magnolia pics, I just googled them to show everyone what they looked like.

I'm really bad about taking pictures, I always forget my camera.

On topic: financial aid drama being OVER....for this semester at least.

i totally agree. when you go shopping in england and you need to ask questions you feel you're being a nuisance, whereas in japan you don't.

Wow

I have not been to Japan yet so this is not a comparison. But I did live in England for three years and found the people to be unusually polite and helpful. I loved my time living there. Im sad you haven't had the same experience. :shakehead: :headscratch:
