the Saiyaman version of Death Note (for which i posted the torrent link) and the subs i posted are timed correctly...yes there is a trailer in the Saiyman version as well but the fansubber didn't sub that portion of the video....but when the actual film starts the timing of the softsubs is accurate....however, the English translation suffers from a few misused words and improper grammar.....if you can put up with that there should be no problem.

hmmm weird :crazy: i donwloaded that exact same one and they didnt work. However, I retimed them almost perfectly.

I just finished watching the movie and it was really fun to watch. Now i want to see the 2nd one really badly. Erika is barely shown in the movie but i guess it's supposed to lead her into part 2. I dont like her character though, I think she's a bad guy :shamefulcry:

Seems like there's a few different versions of the film and english subs going around. I downloaded a version from death-notes.com that had a trailer at the start, and the subs I had were out of sync. But when I removed the trailer (3 mins 34 sec) from the beginning, it worked perfectly. Like Tu-san said though, the spelling and grammer is a bit off.

i was watching the film last night....and i fell asleep.....i'll have to watch it again but i like the anime better.

it's not boring but given the spirit world element of the show there are limitations on what you can successfully convey in a live action film with a low budget....i'll watch it again when i'm more refreshed.....the poor grammar subs didn't help either :sweat:

hai. sad to see that you feel asleep though. I actually liked it. Cause i kept wanting to know what the characters are going to do next. I think the 2nd one might be better cause the 2 main characters are going to go head to head + Erika is going to be in there more often =]
