I watched a bit of the "Deguchi no Nai Umi" production guide DVD and found out that this is a promotion footage with English subtitles. I have high hopes that when the movie DVD is released English subtitles are included.

If Mr. Ueno's 'idol-power' was based on her work in 2005, she stands a very good chance to be placed in the top 10 next year. By the end of this year she would have appeared in 6 movies/drama:

Christmas on July 24th Street
Bokutachi no Sensou
Nodame Cantabile

there isn't enough information to say it's a continuation...but it appears to be based on the same character in the movie :D
