it was thru Engine that i noticed ueno juri. :hehe:

i think she did a pretty fine job in Engine and i like her character. cool! :love_eyes:

there, i've posted the confronting scene from ep8 of Engine. it follows a (way too long) kids chase car scene.

i think it's one of my fave Juri-chan scenes, right up there with "we'll tour the world together" from NC and "i'll strangle you all if you don't play with him" from—ƒ‚̐܂ꂽ“VŽg‚½‚¿.

I was really glad to find a thread for ueno juri.
I think i first noticed her in orange days but did not really pay any attention to her until i saw swing girls! Man that was superb acting. what i wanted to know was, whther she started playing the saxophone for the movie or had she been playing before.? I think i read somwhere that she learnt the piano from a very young age.
hmm anyhow i think she is a much better actress than that female from attention please....somehow her looks annoy me, coupled with that is this song she sang in 2005,it just got to my nerves!!ueto aya~thats her name

well that's to be expected since she had about 10 minutes screen time in orange days...

all the girls started from scratch on their instruments in swing girls. only the boy had previous knowledge of his instrument.

Yeah, Juri-chan mentioned in Bistro SMAP that she played the piano when she was young... Came in handy when she starred in Nodame... :)

She never played the sax until Swing Girls, but she must've became competent enough (along with the other girls) to go on tour... Even in the U.S....! :thumbsup:

i didnt rili like the swing girls movie that much.. it was ok.
but she makes nodame so interesting to watch.
she n tamaki make a great pair.. coz da girl is so cute n tamaki is so handsomE!!

i agree with you. They showed a great chemistry in Nodame cantabile. Btw, I like all Nodame's outfits in this drama ^^
