I don't think there's enough there to make it last 11 episodes... And it would be too sad.

Last thing I'd want to see is another Sekachu... :bleh:

Yup.

Welcome to our obsession.

One thing's for sure: This girl can act her ass off!

That, she can... Without a doubt. :victory:

We'd all be fawning over the first few episodes, and then the episode with the girlfriend will come along and we'll be like 'what the f...'.

:grumble:

nah, i don't think so. we all just thought the girlfriend part was random, but with more airtime, i think it could be incorporated more smoothly

sorry to digress, but what the hell is Sekachu?

Yup... That would be a fast-forward moment.

Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu.

The most pretentious, manipulative, teary-eyed weep-fest in all of J-Drama.

Oddly enough, the movie version of this was what got me back into watching J-drama (and movies, as well). I remember loaning a disc of the movie to a friend; she only watched the first five minutes before stopping outright, as she felt that the movie would be too heavy and emotional.

Rainbow Song wasn't as depressing as this, though.

i remember that in the older posts there was picture of juri in a sleeveless blue top that had plaid pattern on it.

i found out that i had the same pattern and color, but as a dress.

:D

ok this was random

A funeral isn't as depressing as that drama. :bleh:

SO TRUE. I can hardly believe I watched Sekachuu, because looking back on it I was really into it at the time... but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to handle it now. (Still, that drama introduced me to Ayase Haruka <3) I didn't end up watching Byakuyakou though...

*koff* At any rate, that's really wonderful that apparently Juri saved Amuse (supposedly). I was digging through their page of talents and didn't see any actor/actress super noteworthy besides her... I'll keep an eye out on random JP news sites to see if they say the same thing.

For Amuse, Juri-chan is THE one person to have... :victory:

Spoiler — click to reveal yeah i agreed with you ,there no scene that explain that both tomoya and aoi in same college, that makes me confused.but aoi trust tomoya maybe because the speed relationship that they have and when they watched rainbow maybe that the first time aoi fell in love with tomoya.or maybe 10000 yen that tomoya give to aoi give him the role :hehe:

Just continuing on with the Rainbow Song topic.. Its my favorite performance of her's in a movie(and overall just 2nd to Nodame). I agree that the story wasn't great, but she did act her a$$ off! Loved the scene when she kicks the guy and asks who the hell was he! :hehe:

Though it was a sad plot , I have watched it twice and wouldn't mind watching it again to see the performances :)

I think her Swing Girls performance is my fave... And second to Nodame overall... Nodame is an iconic, tour-de-force performance. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Her performance in Swing girls was great as well.. But then, I don't remember watching any movie/drama where she has not given her absolute best!

She really gets into her roles, and if that's not the case then I guess its the director who is to be blamed for not utilizing her talent!

Yeah, she absolutely does... From Kagayaku Onna, you can see her confidence and dedication to her craft... So incredibly impressive from a (then) 20-year old... :victory:

Yeah, Kagayaku Onna was good.. It was nice to see her as a normal person(and not as an actor) and also to hear her perspective about acting, life and more..

She sure does have supreme confidence in her abilities and it shows in all her work! :applaud:

Did you not like her performance in Last Friends?

She was still beautiful in that drama, no?
