Someone else reported that Ninomiya-sensei was going to finish this story off in volume 21, which was released out a couple of weeks ago. For some reason, popular demand or maybe mortgage on a holiday home, she decided to carry on for a little while longer. Sounds like the story is on its last leg, maybe 2/3 volumes before the grand finale.

Yeah, if I had something like that, I'd probably keep it as a family heirloom or something...and I kinda feel that the value is less if you don't get something like that on your own. Meeting her real life would be a dream come true. =)

As for the Maui trip, well, I'm totally jealous of the tour guide...

'Weekly Playboy' After seeing the cover in this one for once, I'm hoping Juri won't be in the cover...Lol...Anyway, I don't think we should worry too much. It's a Japanese mainstream magazine. Won't be as hardcore as the US version. I hope...It might be male-oriented, but there are still proper articles, entertainment news, manga and stuff in it. I'm kinda curious about what they would be writing about Juri...

I don't know what to think about this. Let's see what'll happen. But whatever she does, I think she's mature enough to make the right decision. ^^

I think you guys might have a misconception about PLAYBOY magazine: it does have serious articles, interviews, and discussion over serious issues amidst the nudity and sex stuff... But most of the time, nobody bothers to read those articles. :beaten:

But I wonder if she would've gotten all this buzz had she played a straight character instead of a GID one.

It was a really good performance, but I still think Nodame is her best role, thanks to the writers... Had the stupid writer for Last Friends not sold out and continued to focus on Ruka instead of Sosuke, that role would've been something really special as well.

Hmm, that's like asking if she would get all the buzz if Nodame was a normal piano genius instead of a cute-hentai one. I'd like to think that with all the extra stuff added to the character, the prove of a great actor is one that can take in whatever that was added to enhance her acting instead of crumbling under the pressure. Anyone can act the typical everyday character, the reason Juri was chosen was because she could take on Ruka. Which is definitely not your typical everyday character in a drama. Even though Nodame is her breakthrough role, Ruka proves her versatility as an actress. She's not up and coming anymore. They're referring her as the No.1 most outstanding young actress of today. :applaud: So, I say rejoice and stop the comparison or complaining already...=P
