I think Ruka's was the hardest: she had to go through a whole range of emotions and whatnot...
The other two roles?
They're just one note, one dimension. :bleh:
You honestly think so?
I still think Michiru isn't one-dimensional and is also a very hard role to play. Like Ruka, it's one of those roles where if you can't do it right then don't do it, for the sake of your reputation as an actor.
And I think unlike Juri-chan (obviously), Masami failed this role completely. She never captured the emotions, fragility and pain of Michiru with her limited and fake acting.
What's worse, the pressure of the main protagonist is on her (and Ruka). Also, we are supposed to feel for Michiru, not hate her, but alas that wasn't how it turned out. As Kijinnmaru pointed out, she cried and no one give a damn. She was invisible and a nuisance at best next to Juri-chan. She looked so pathetic in this role that even the worst actor of the bunch (Sousuke) outperformed her. Those are the consequences of playing Michiru and not playing it well. The role easily exposed her weaknesses and limitations as an actress to the viewers, when she really isn't as bad an actress as her role in Last Friends made her out to be. It's not a safe role like Sousuke (where you can get away by looking like a statue) but very risky and unforgiving (bad impact for her career too) if played wrong I almost pitied her for accepting it. Not to mention, partnering up with someone highly talented like Juri-chan, that's pretty much like a "massacre" waiting to happen. Not a pretty sight at all. :beaten:
Anyway, I read this somewhere and it still amuses me how Masami said Ryo's role is very hard due to him having to do the violent scenes. I was like  You just know right there and then that this girl never understood her role even after they finished filming. :shakehead:
