for all those ppl who think kimura takuya didn't smoke...wake up! that guy has smoked cigarettes in every drama he's been in with the possible exception of pride and engine...which might mean he's given it up...but he's been smoking for a loooooong time already....even as far back at '96 when he played Senna in Long Vacation. what dramas have you guys been watching to be so surprised that he smoked...at least at some point?!?!

i have a feeling that he quit (somewhat) recently.


i'm not criticizing anybody in particular it's just bizarre for ppl to be so surprised that he smokes...do you know how many men smoke in japan? japan has the highest rate of smoking among males of any industrialized democracy.

Hi, right I notice since he played Engine his body more fat than usual, when you see the next SxS on Dec.05,2005 when Takuya & Tsuyosi do the Triathlon you cud see it more clearly fm his cheak so fat now :doh: . You cud compare with Tsuyosi's body. I think his enjoy his life very much or his smoking were not much as usual bcs some people said that smoking help to decreased yr weight. As you knew that his was actually bad smoker since young. So, which you choose, our Takuya more big but healthy or thin but bad smoker :bonk: I think u will said I want Takuya-kun body like the one when he played Sorakara, delicious right :metaldevil: :say_yes:

haha, he's very much like Nakai-kun actually. Both are the ones who smoke too much in SMAP, and last year Nakai-kun did put up much weight due to smoking!

Is this true? That the Japanese thinks that it is tough for Takuya to quit smoking? Well i really hope he is doing something about it.....and if weight tough.....then definitely in Engine...he seems to have more meat. However, his lean figure in Pride could be due to all those training on the ice skating rink!

i understand what you are saying...if it makes you feel better, i do not think that kimura takuya smokes anymore :)

i have watched many kimura takuya dramas and i noticed that in "engine" it was the FIRST time i saw his character with cigarettes but you NEVER actually see him smoke...they show scenes where kimura takuya is about to smoke but he NEVER actually smokes the cigarette...so that is why i think he has quit smoking....

but I read in an old article a few years ago so maybe is true that he stop smoking now, don't know for sure

i am watching LG now.....Teppei is such a contrarian. On the one hand he was a lecher ..... n yet he has this somewat old fashion sentiments towards 1st love and relationship....well maybe he was maturing n settling down. :inlove:

I think it's common for male artistes to smoke....I see them smoking in so many dramas and I think I got used to it (as long as I don't have to smell it)
