BE sure to watch Concerto. It was wonderful.
Pride is a favorite of mine too.
The World War II drama is called 'Fly Boys'. It is hard to find but it is worth the search. wonderful drama. Of course Kimura is so fine. Very good actors in their early days. Sorimachi for one. He has a small role. Kimura is in much bigger role. It is a strong story about very young pilots in the Japanese airforce. they are trained to be the 'Kamekasi' pilots who fly out with bombs or torpedos knowing that they do not have enough fuel to ever fly back so they will crash their planes into the enemy ships.. in this case USA naval vessels. There are sad moments when one of the pilots is leaving his young wife behind. It seems to me that there is very little bright colour in this but it appeared to me to be in sepia tones. Very effective. Kimura had long hair which was tied back similar to the way he looked in 'Gift'. Also the young officer in command was one of the doctors in 'White Tower'.. I'm sorry I can't bring his name to mind. Older.. I think, but still young man and a very good actor'

Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi is an excellent drama. :applaud:
Kimura takuya played a twisted, manipulative character which is different from the usual hero type he always portrayed (really can't help it. he's just too cool). His character Ryo were involve in a murder investigation based on intuition of a police detective, Kanzo. The story is dark and dramatic but very captivating. Highly recommended :victory:

NOTED .. will see it for sure, especially to see him in a different role than the normal lover boy.

he is one of the best actor in Japan!!!! his acting is unique and appealing. if not how could most his dramas has such good rating? don't tell me is his looks, cos with only good looks, can he survive for more than 10 years? ofcos his X-factor is a plus which make us hook onto the TV.....
if you watch his dramas, you would know he put in effort to make sure each character is special in it's own way....

Agreed with z123_us. Though I think the only actor that could surpass him is takeshi kaneshiro, look wise and popularity. The guy mastered several languages and even act along side mira sorvino in a holywood production.
But still, Takuya is the best :applaud: The guy doesn't act cool, he is cool. :smitten:
