1280x720...my computer's graphic card can't handle that...
more to the point...We've finally got competing fansubers for a dorama...
This is standard practice for anime subbing...popular animes will have a half dozen subbers working to please the consumers...
http://animesuki.rut.org/series.php/990.html?sort=group&order=ascin competition...
the result is High Quality subs...

yeah but there are far far fewer dorama fansubbers and the fact of the matter is there are always interesting projects that don't get subbed b/c the focus tends to be on doramas with young idols....i'm grateful for fansubbers but i don't think three groups working on the same project is necessarily "good."

moreover, fansubbing doramas takes a lot more time because there is far more dialogue so when groups start overlapping on projects it ties up already precious time and resources.

just my two cents.

Cool.

Let's see how it matches up against the SARS version. :victory:

Really?

That's a relatively "low" resolution... I'm running my machine at 1600x1200.

Some good points there...

As much as I like the fact that there are competing fansubs for Nodame, there's oodles of deserving dramas (Kurokawa no Techo, Okusama wa Majo, to name a few) that haven't seen the fansubbers light of day...:puppydog:

I would also rather the talent get spread out so other shows would get subbed too. There are several RAW series on my drive hoping that someone may sub them. Also, while the groups are certainly free to sub what they want, when they want, I've been waiting for J-TV to finish Bus Stop for something like 3 years now. Every time I see them start a new show, my hope diminishes.... :shamefulcry:

I finished downloading the file a couple of hours ago...

First look:

1. The same problem with the SARS subs: frou-frou fonts. :shakehead:

I mean what is wrong with simple, legible Arial font? :grumble:

2. An obnoxious JTV logo on the upper right of the image.

3. Fansubbers credits flashing on the screen during Chiaki's dream sequence.

Another pass. :shakehead:

Back to my editing of the subs and doing it the right way. :P

Don't worry! I've decided to do my own fansub using a normal font. Here's a sample

JTV is already using that font: white with powder blue outlines... :beaten:
