I really liked this Mongoose Box, the OST, and the Orchestra de Nodame sets (Live! and Story!). The rest are fine in that they were performed by top notch musician, but rip-offs in the sense that they are not what we heard in the drama/anime.

Both FujiTV and the Sony-CBS made a killing selling memorabilia and CD sets. There was a pendant for sale at JPY15,000 and the Nodame bag at JPY7,700 and both were sold out rather quickly. The Best 100 collection were sold out within a week of it's launching (the set I got was the regular, not the limited edition).

I hope they'll produce another CD album or set for the SP.

I wonder if the bags are still available: I was thinking of buying one for my niece as a Christmas present since she adores the drama as much as I do... :)

It's not - I've checked. Since this drama is also now being aired in HK, I wanted to get one for my wife. Unfortunately FujiTV is out of stock, and I don't think you can get them, or at least not at the original price, from Yahoo.

I saw some on eBay at one time, but they looked like knockoffs and didn't say what kinda material they were made of... Canvas? Plastic? Nylon? :headscratch:

I think the Korean-made knock-offs are plastic and canvas. I'm not going for any imitations though. I've given out 2 Nodame bags in the past and am now kicking myself for not keeping a couple for further use.

BTW has your niece decided on her Halloween costume?

It reads "direction to Ueno". It's a section of Tokyo named after Juri. So the rumors go.

Maybe it should have read "direction of Ueno".
