Yup, it'll be one of the most highly anticipated shows in 2008... Hope it'll be good, if not great. :fingerscrossed:

I prefer the live action too, but Milch looks really different! Lol I love the fact that in the drama they mention the difference(he looks like a fraud). Anime characters look all the same nowadays :bleh:

A 2-CD set for music used in the SP will be released on 19th December. Here is a list of contents:

CD 1 - Orchestra
1. Beethoven: Symphony No. 7 Op.92 (Opening theme)
2. Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue
3. Haydn: Symphony No. 103 'London'
4. Rossini: William Tell Overture
5. Dvorak: Symphony No. 9 'From the New World'
6. R. Strauss: Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche
7. Glinka: Ruslan and Lyudmila
8. Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto
9. Borodin: Polovstian Dance from 'Prince Igor'
10. Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 3
11. Brahms: Symphony No. 1

CD 2 - Instruments
1. Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 8 'Pathetique'
2. Ravel: Alborada del gracioso from 'Miroirs'
3. Chopin: Polonaise in A 'Heroic'
4. Lizst: Transendental Exercise No. 4 'Mazeppa'
5. Noda Megumi: 'Mojya Mojya' Suite
6. Mozart: Piano Sonata No. 18 K576
7. Mozart: Variation on 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' K265
8. Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 16
9. Mozart: Oboe Quartet
10. Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue (Ending theme)

I think all of the above are excerpts.

The above list contains a couple of clues as to what we can expect from the SP:

1. Chiaki in the conducting competition - in the manga one of the pieces he ocnducted was R. Strauss's 'Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche';
2. Nodame performing in 18th century costume - in the manga Nodame, Chiaki, Kuroki, and Tanya were invited to perform in a household party. The piece Nodame played was Mozart's Variation on 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star';
3. We'll see Kuroki 'Bushi' Yasunori again - see the above clue and the fact that there is an oboe quartet in the CD-set.

Volume 19 of the manga has been released for sale on Amazon last week. I hope the Taiwanese translators are up to their usual efficient selves and make the Chinese version available soon. :fingerscrossed:

Note that this is mere speculation on my part.

Variation on 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' was briefly heard in a scene in episode 2, so it it possible that this piece is being used in an entirely different scenario. After all there is no guarantee that the SP will follow exactly the manga's story line.

We can but hope... :puppydog: :fingerscrossed:

There are, in fact, a couple of new CDs for the anime too. I'm not all that fired up about the anime so I probably won't be getting those.

Same here... I've watched several of the anime episodes, but wasn't all that impressed.
