The spoiler or Wyn-chan's ex? :beaten:
Both :beaten:
This is the first Japanese dorama that really interest me and I like it the best. I had watched others dorama, but none that can comepare to Nodame Cantabile, even the well known Hana Yori (sorry any fans of Hana Yori). I guess what really hook me into Nodame is that I don't hate any character in here at all. I don't have to watch and get mad at one of the characters or continously swearing at my computer. This dorama is so fun with it comical side and some romance in it. You cannot believe or predict what happen next. At one point it was really romantic, and right after it, it inputed the anime comical in there.
On top of all, it is the best dorama and I had introduce this to my best friend which I will lend her the dorama

LOL. :hehe:
Another Nodame fan... Welcome! :victory: :woot:
Okay, so finished watching part 2 of the Nodame SP:
Okay, to be perfectly honest, it wasn't as good as I had anticipated. For the amount of time they had to build up the storyline (over 4 hours of video), there really wasn't much substance there other than the Nodame / Chiaki's final payoff.
Otherwise, the 'character development' was left only for those who had already seen the series. By the time the special itself was over, there were so many loose ends needed to be tied up that some of them were even never resolved. Everyone had their 15-20 seconds of airtime (except for our favorite Contrabass player...damnit...), but otherwise it felt less like a story and more like a forced throw-in.
4 hours is equivalent to almost 5 episodes of a regular series, and a lot of series out there can pull off full series in around 7 (Papa to Musume is one I can think of right away). While I still enjoyed the sight gags and the overall story premise, it almost felt like they could've done the same thing in a single night and edited out all of the pointless banter (hell, Streusseman was practically unnecessary other than splitting up Nodame & Chiaki).
Do I want another season of Nodame? You bet, but the quality of the first season compared to this special reminded me of such series as...well, to go American for a second, Heroes. The first season was spectacular, the second was left to be desired.
Sorry bmw, I WANT to say that it was the best thing ever...but not looking at it through rose tinted glasses, there were so many flaws it's hard to ignore. :(.

I guess I can sorta agree with most of your points... I'll have to re-watch it a couple more times to develop a real opinion. :)
