Hey everyone, I'm new on here but I've been a GazettE fan for about a year or so now. I was just curious about something and wanted to get the opinion of people over here since you're all such knowledgable gazettE fans.
The song Taion(Body Temperature) is about a girl who got raped and buried in concrete, (Taion during the Decomposition Beauty performances reflects that a lot too) but lately a lot of other things have been surfacing, stuff that Ruki was also violated some time in the past, which is one of the main reasons why he get's overly emotional during that performance. What do you all think? You think its some rumour or do you think there might be at least some truth in there? Something that was also pointed out recently, is that Ruki's screams in that song are very powerful(and I think every one can agree with that) so people say that gives a bit more of a back up to the idea that Ruki was violated before, what do you all think?

Welcome AngelofNegelct :woot: I wonder if it is true about Ruki....I havent heard anything but it would explain alot of the songs....i wonder if his family in general was distorted...check out the video for Burial applicant. The boy kills his parents and his parents kill him. Truly sad
MomoPuff wrote:
That could be true. Because if Ruki wrote all of those lyrics, and how sad they were, they could be on past experiences. Like when I got caught drawing "dark and morbid" pictures, my school tried having me see a counselor.
AngelOfNeglect wrote:Well in an interview he's says that his parents are the ones he admires the most but then again on the Hey!Hey!Hey! interview they had where Reita is ignored, Ruki says that his dad tried to disown him when he was younger, as a student and that he was on bad terms with his dad.
I've been hearing the story of Ruki getting raped many times over and for some reason, the first time I heard Taion(before I even knew anything about the band or the lyrics) I could tell it was about rape and it made me wonder if any of the bands members where raped. One place, I remember that I'd heard the rumour from was this video of the gazettE live, singing Taion, from the decomposition dvd. This is only one place of many that I've heard this... http://youtube.com/watch?v=wAmyIBXyD9M
The rape though, really would explain a lot of the songs that Ruki sings, and the amount of passion and emotion there is in there. I mean...I can reflect a ton of emotion, I can unleash a lot by singing or acting, modelling or writing but when someone manages a scream like Ruki did....I get this feeling its more than just emotion of singing an emotional song. It must have a deeper meaning, look at the band during that video of the link, Aoi looks like he's trying to concentrate through some pain, Reita is holdin things together, you can plainly see Kai crying and Uruha looks shaken up.
MomoPuff wrote:
I can see that. Ruki's screams are different than the other songs even during the live, everyone is stiff rather than running (or spinning around in Reita's case), and you can really hear the emotion in the song. They all sound like they know how it feels about when they preform this. Especially Ruki with the tone he expresses. It's more like he's crying or something.

I dont know if I could ever perform a song like that if it really happend to me. during the video it looked like reita had smiled a little. Uruha had the body language of "i dont want to play but i am" I just wanted to hold Kai...lol...
AngelOfNeglect wrote:
Lol, no matter how many people deny it, EVERYONE wants to just hold Kai. But really, if it did happen to him and he was in fact raped, and he sings about it all then it means he's trying to let go of it which is really good for him, he deserves to be happy and singing seems to be what helps him let go of it all.
My theory, if he really was raped, is this; Ruki saw the news, saw the story about the girl who was raped and buried in concrete, it brought up some of his own emotions and he wrote the song that we now know as Taion. He performs it well and gives off the emotion that he's meant to, possibly of what i saw in the live video, the other band members probably knew what happened to Ruki and feel somewhat upset that Ruki is so hurt, or WAS so hurt? I mean, they all do care about Ruki and maybe when he performs a song that emotional, they get emotional too because they can see a reflection of how hurt their frined is/was. Like I said, its just a theory of mine based on a rumour that has quite a lot of evidence backing it up so I dont really know.

true true. everyone wants to cuddle kai. But it would be obvious for the rest of the band to feel emotional to ruki even if he wasn't. I mean, who wouldn't be shocked by the fact of a girl being raped and buried in concrete? So even if Ruki wasn't violated, they would've still wrote this song and the emotion would be going towards not past experience, but the emotional pain one human being feels for another. (not that I agree or disagree to the rumor)

I understand what you're trying to say completely but what gets me is that the amount of emotion there is in Ruki when he sings that, seems to be a lot more than is expected you know? I really wouldnt be surprised at all if the rumour was true, I mean the guy hasnt exactly had the easiest life in the world either. All the lyric writing is by him, look at songs like Taion(the video is all about being controlled, neglected, abused, hence the idea that Ruki is reflected as a puppet in that video), Filth In The Beauty(dont let the pop in that song fool you, the whole song is about father/daughter rape), then there's Burial Applicant, the video and the song show a lot as it is.
And him sobbing at the end, the guy didnt even get up until he had to sing at the begining of Chizuru which was the next song to be played. While the others where playing the intro to the song he was still on the ground crying. I'm more than sure he felt very emotional about that girl, and probably in their hearts they dedicated that song to her for what she went through but by the way the lyrics are written, they seem so personal and being a studying psychologist and writer, I really know what it means for something like that to be personal.
Not to mention that this rumour hasnt just come out of thin air, people have for a while been saying that something serious had happened to Ruki in the past but they didnt know what it was till the whole Taion thing. I dont like the idea that he was raped at all but it really would explain a lot of things if its true.
MomoPuff wrote:
true true. If the song really was only dedicated to that girl, then the lyrics may not have that much feeling into it. For that feeling to be aroused, some personal experience should be present. You can't write angst without feeling that pain.
But if that's true, then Ruki's past must've been very painful to bear.
AngelOfNeglect wrote:
Yeah. I mean, I write my saddest stories when I, myself, is going through a bad point in the day and when I feel upset or angry to a degree. I only write the most...tangable writing when its really coming from my own emotions and from my own feelings and possibly experience too. Its impossible for me to write a decent angsty story if I dont feel the emotion from it, its just impossible for it to come out right. Like art, if your mind and heart isnt into it, its very hard for the message of the picture to come across strongly, does that make sense?
If its all true then I feel bad for him, for having to go through such horrible moments in his life. But I suppose we can help him look on the brightside; his band mates have become good friends of his who care about him, they feel his emotions with him and without them he wouldnt be able to express himself so well. And not to mention, now he had the love of all his fans to keep him going, he said thats what helps him continue his work(said so somewhere in his last speech of the Nameless Liberty Six Guns at Budokan performance) and that his fans are his best friends. Well....he also asked his 'best friends', namely the fans, not to worry about all of them but no matter how many times he tells us I think we'll always worry about them a little.
Anyway, thank you for discussing this subject with me, it was a great debate but I suppose we wont know the truth until he comes out and says it straight. I'm off to bed for the night, (its almost 4:15 here) but I hope to get the in put of other people too, sharing opinions helps sort things out.

eh? go to sleep!!!!
But, even if Ruki wasn't raped or disowned, there had to have been a tragic part(s) in his past. Because if you compare GazettE's songs to other bands, don't you think their music is a little more angsty? (well....more like a lot)
shiroi_tora wrote:
that is true....but they do have some up beat songs like Silly God Disco...anyone know what that song is about??
shiroi_tora wrote:I wonder how his parents feel about him and the others becomming famous...like in the case of Tora in Alice Nine his parents thought that he would never make it big in a band and so when Alice Nine had their first REAL performance at the end Tora is crying and so is Hiroto. I wonder if any of the Gazette member's parents are proud that their son's are famous.
Hmm... I wondered what that song was really about...
Well I dont know much about Alice Nine, I have only heard of them so I dont know about Tora's relationship with his parents but I think Ruki's parents are to-a-degree proud of him, on the hey!hey!hey! interview, he said that once the band started entering the chart his dad started to support so maybe thats being proud of him?
