Satomi Hakenden 2006 · TBS

I found it

I saw a movie series many many years ago as a kid and never knew the name of it. I only remembered the dog, marbles, and some magic. I was looking for that old movie and came across this one. I'd like to find the old one but I thought the story was worth watching and I was not disappointed at all. Makes me want to look into more folk tales and heros. I was able to find the Nya subtitled version.

A lot of ups and downs

9 / 10

2 Nov 2003

The ups and downs of a relationship based on making a baby that turns into 9 months of learning about each other and love. It depicts all of the responsibilities, sacrifice, and change in life that happens when a new life comes into the world. I enjoyed each episodes new problem and the fix or re-fix that happened. It is a good drama with plenty of ups and down that really makes you wonder what will happen in the end. All of the actors do a good job of making their characters funny and interesting. I enjoy how J-dramas do come to an end.

So damn tragic

This is a good story. Ryoko Hirosue character is a delight to as she is shy and carefull and is brought out to blossom. Tsuyoshi Dohmoto as a onisan plays the typical oldest son stereotype image and takes care of everyone. This is a classic and I was depressed for days. This is so Japanese to do this to me! This one is my current #2.

Interesting subject matter

I just started this series and really like it. The subject matter of shotgun marriages seems like something that would not be so "Japanese" and be on TV. I'm only at ep 4 and the situations seem real. I like the straight forward approach about working out problems. Ryoko's role is very good and she is very kawaii.

My first one ... a virgin no more.

This was the first dorama I watched. The actions scenes need a little work but overall the show is very entertaining. The characters have many "emotions" and "actions" that make this action comedy soooo Japanese. M. Carey's song is very fitting.

Just OK for me

I've only watched a couple of J-dramas so far and although this one is rated high, but I think that it is only an 8. I've only seen episodes 1-4 and the special but it seems like each week Onizuka wins over another bad boy/girl in his class. He is suppose to be this cool sensei but he can seem really clumsey at times. The stories seem to be geared for students. So far it's rather predictable but I still watch it. Some of this would not be shown in the US as the censors would get to it.

Osuke take Wakabe!

I really like this series. Sakurako is so focused and her actions are just unbelievable. Osuke should just take Wakabe cause she is sooo kawaii. I need episodes 8 & 10 to continue. I watched 9 because I could not wait. Once you start this one you can't stop.

Wedding Planner 2002 · Fuji TV

Please continue to seed!

Good series with lots of emotions and irony in the stories. Not just wedding planners . . . and I thought this was about J-Lo. I've only seen 2 episodes but it looks like I will try to get the rest. (Please continue to seed.)
