3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei Season 7 [3年B組金八先生] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) | Aishiteiru to Ittekure [愛していると言ってくれ] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) One of the first dramas to feature the love story between the deaf girl and hearing guy. Now the theme seems overused a bit. | Akimahende! [あきまへんで!] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Funny with a good cast. |
Friends [フレンズ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) It was nice to see Korea and Japan's idols come together for a drama series. The theme of a couple from different cultures trying to understand one another is a bit overused but it works okay in this drama. | Hyakunen no monogatari [百年の物語] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Nanako is such a great actress! She plays three different women within three different generations. Each of which tells a story of struggle which spans from the taisho period to the present. Kind of educating because it reflect the social landscape of a changing Japan. | Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai [恋がしたい恋がしたい] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Enjoyable drama that interconnects different people on the theme of love on all levels. Great performces by cast - especially Atsuro Watabe, Miki Mizuno, and Miho Kanno. |
Love and peace [ラブアンドピース] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Enjoyable with cute cast. | Meguri ai [めぐり逢い] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) | Mouri Motonari [毛利元就] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) I love history so it was a treat to watch and be educated about the rise of the Mori clan how they used cunning and strong family ties (the three arrows stronger than one parable) to become one of the most powerful clans during a tumultuous time in Japan's history. |
Mukashi no otoko [昔の男] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) | Musashi [武蔵] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Enjoyable Taiga drama - great cast. | Onsen e Ikou [温泉へ行こう] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) One of the cutest, funniest, sometimes slapstick comedy series I have watched. It's a bit silly but it has a similar draw to it for the same reason you might watch 3's company or something. But after the 2nd, 3rd seasons I started to lose interest. Takako is definitely a show stealer with her funny but cute role. |
Otousan [おとうさん] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Always enjoy watching the timeless actor Tamura Masakazu. Good looking cast, semi-okay story. | Pu-Pu-Pu jump Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Interesting in watching to see the other side of Japan's youth. The ones who don't spend endless time studying and wondering if they will be able to get into their college of choice. | Summer snow Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Enjoyed it because of the likeable cast. Has a underdog love story going on - gives people like me hope j/k! Ending was a tear jerker definitely! |
Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko [天国に一番近い男] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) | Toshiie to Matsu [利家とまつ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Nanako is in it enuff said! Interesting Taiga drama - I had no idea about the strong bond between Toshiie Maeda and his wife Matsu. History tends to focus more on Hideyoshi and Oda Nobunaga and of course Tokugawa Ieyasu, so it was treat to learn more about the lesser known vassal. | Tsuhan-Man Rating: 8/10 (Watched) |
Yoshitsune [義経] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) | | |
