watched it last year and i loved mine-kun in it.... he was my favourite character.... his girlfriend comes a close second =)

the orchestra parts were really nice... especially for those who have been in an orchestra before.... being able to perform as one.... after all the late night, monstrous trainings.... it sure brings back some fond memories, ne?

Yeah, Mine's great. Though, as I've noted before, aside from having a total crush on Juri and being impressed with her and Chiaki's character and acting, I think Mine's dad is a beast.

LOL, someone at the D-Addicts site loved the drama... But was annoyed by Nodame.

And really.. I mean, Nodame is hopelessly naive and flippant and selfish.. but she's so adorable! How dare they?

Though it and argubaly STMB are the only ones I've seen where he doesn't get completely screwed over by his love persuits. He has a rough time with the ladies that one.

Do the actors/actress really know how to play those instruments or to conduct before they taped Nodame Cantabile? Just wonderin'. :headscratch:

Only Juri-sama played the piano for a few years when she was a child. The rest of the cast had to act like they knew what they were doing.

You know, in a sense I can see how you can find the main character of a show (in particular this one) somewhat annoying and still enjoy the show. However, extremely hard to do this to say the least, heh.

Personally, I do think that the supporting cast is very strong in the point that Nodame herself doesn't NEED to be in a scene for it to be entertaining (see the party the orchestra has in Japan while they're in Europe, they all play off eachother very well). But, as it was said before, it'd be like taking out the main part of the show.

Now to come up with some witty Last Friends connection...hmm...

I really wished the box set had more footage regarding some of the training they must've had, like in Swing Girls... I think it would've been interesting to see.
