By the way, aVERY okinawan dish is goya champurun, basically Goya (okinawan bitter melon (fu-gwa)) eggs with spam). The saltyness of the spam mixes great with the bitterness of the bitermelon.

Speaking of hawaiian, I love portugese sausage with egg and rice with a bit of shoyu....I can eat that every day!!

omg. i know what u mean, when i used to work there, i asked if there was any sushi dishes since its owned by a japanese family.. but its all sushi-spam bleh ,i ate it too double bleh bleh

How about a raw egg with some sukiyaki?

If that's too hard for you, then perhaps this may suit your taste platter.

actually, a lot of JPN moms do take the extra time to do all that stuff to make the food appealing to kids at school, and its not just a selected few. A lot different from the Ol' PBJ's right?
