Hi, all! ^-^ So.... you guys are getting into Janne Da Arc? That's great! They're my favourite band.... and I love the new singles, "Destination" and "Furimukeba". Of course.... I like every single song I've ever heard from them (and I've heard at least 120. -__-; , but I think one of the best songs ever is "Kamen" (Mask). It's a little weird and offbeat, but it's an awesome song. (And Yasu is a beautiful man with an absolutely beautiful voice).
One of my friends who was into J-Rock, too, gave me a mix cd to listen to a few years ago of all the stuff she liked, and the very first song I ever heard from JDA was "Lunatic Gate" (which is also excellent, by the way). As soon as I heard the music, and that voice of Yasu's, especially when it did that jump at the end, I was hooked. So she burned me another cd of all the JDA songs she had. I loved them all and figured I had to have everything I could get by them, so..... naturally, I downloaded a lot of it, but I also bought several of their albums from cd.japan when I couldn't find the songs I wanted to download. The cds were $40 a piece, but.... they were definitely well-worth all the money I paid for them.
But I'm really glad they don't wear the goth make-up and clothes anymore. -___- Not that I'm against that or anything, but.... I get kind of tired of seeing the same old thing, over and over. And sometimes, it almost seems like bands are putting more focus on what they look like, rather than how they sound. This makes me weep tears of unimaginable sadness.
Anywho..... I have some translations of a few Janne Da Arc songs.... If you'd like, I could give you guys the "Gekkoka" (Moonlight Flower) translation.... it's kinda sad, though. Pretty, but sad.
See ya! ^-^

Gekkouka (Moonlight Flower)
Kanashige ni saku hana ni kimi no omokage wo mita
daisuki na ame na no ni naze ka kyou wa tsumetakute
I saw traces of you in a flower blooming sadly
Even though I love the rain, today it seems so cold.
Awaku hakanaku yoru ni yurarete tame iki hitotsu ochita hanabira...
Faintly, fleetingly, the flower sways in the night,
letting out a single sigh, a fallen flower petal.
Tsuki no kakera wo atsumete yume wo kazari nemuru
toki no suna chiribamete mo ano koro e kaerenai
I gather shards of the moon, decorate a dream and sleep
Even if I scatter the sands of time, I know I can never return to
those days.
Futtou miageta hoshizora mata kimi wo sagashiteta
Ikutsu yoru wo koereba namida wa tsuyosa ni naru?
I looked up at the starry sky suddenly, searching again for you.
How many nights will it take before (my) tears become strength?
Kisetsu wa meguri. Mori wa sorerare.
Kaze wa kanadete. Omoi afurete.
The seasons change. The forests are stained.
The winds play a tune. (My) Thoughts overflow.
Aitakute itooshikute furetakute kurushikute
todokanai tsutawaranai kanawanai toosugite
ima wa mou... kimi wa inai yo.
I want to meet you, my beloved
I want to touch you, it's so cruel
But it won't reach you, I can't tell you
These things won't come true, it's too far away
You are no longer here.
Chiriyuku to shiru hana wa soredemo
tsuyoku ikite iru iro azayaka ni
The flower knows that it will die and be scattered
but still it lives on, full of colour and vitality.
Tsuki no kakera wo atsumete yume wo kazari nemuru
toki no suna chiribamete mo ano koro e kaerenai
Aitakute itooshikute furetakute kurushikute
todokanai tsutawaranai kanawanai toosugite
ima wa mou.... kimi wa inai yo.
I gather shards of the moon, decorate a dream and sleep
Even if I scatter the sands of time, I know I can never return to
those days.
I want to meet you, my beloved
I want to touch you, it's so cruel
But it won't reach you, I can't tell you
These things won't come true, it's too far away
You are no longer here.
There! Translation of "Gekkouka" by Janne Da Arc (and the Japanese lyrics, too, if you didn't already have them). I have a few other translations, so if you guys want, I'll post those, too.
Ja ne!

By the way..... if you're looking for a good site for Janne Da Arc romaji lyrics, check out this one:
http://www.knkashi.pb-dreams.net/
from a girl named Hikaru Fujimiya. It has all the lyrics from Dearly, D.N.A., Chaos Mode, Joker, Arcadia, Resist, GAIA, Z-HARD, Another Story, Another Singles, Singles, and even the maxi singles. Plus, it has other bands (like Laruku ^_^--- LOVE "Flower"). Janne Da Arc did a cover of that song.... I wish I could get it in better quality, but alas... I cannot. *sigh*
Anywho, if you're looking for lyrics from some of the more popular bands, this site is a good place to find them.
No problem, Stephchan. I love "Gekkouka", too. And "Furimukeba" is awesome.
Ja ne!
