Yutaka, as I have implied before, is one of the most suave male celebrities in the bizz. Haven't seen him in anything since Ruri no Shima and Rondo...as cheesy as it may sound, his most memorable performance for me remains his supporting role as "Animal Shinji" in Long Vacation, despite the fact that dorama aired back in '96.

Ooh, thanks for posting the new pictures. I especially like the one with Yutaka looking straight at the camera whilst wearing that fab dark shirt and suit.
Me too!!
THe funny thing is he looksjust like my friend's Yoga trainer in that shot. Yes, that guy is GORGEOUS too. But only half Japanese.

No arguement from me on that one. That was an amazing drama.

Keps, I love your taste! Should I be embarrassed to reveal that I actually have a few favorite videos on my YouTube account including the "chocolate" one. Here are a couple more:

Girrl you need to stop. Takenouchi Yutaka is fine enough, but a longer haired, taller version that I actually had a chance to meet in real life, well that would just make me swoon!

Takenouchi gets first role as narrator
Fri, July 20, 2007 (2:08am EDT)
Actor Yutaka Takenouchi will serve as a narrator for the first time in Takashi Koizumi's "Ashita e no Yuigon" (also known as "Best Wishes for Tomorrow"), due out next March.
The story revolves around the war crimes trial of Lieutenant General Tasuku Okada (played by Makoto Fujita) at the end of World War II. Takenouchi serves as an impartial narrator to the proceedings, and doesn't actually appear as a character in the movie. Still, this will count as his second film role, having only starred in the 2001 "Reisei to Jounetsu no Aida."

I don't think the "hot drink" makers had a clue. I mean, is anyone really looking at the photo and thinking of a hot drink? They could have been selling a set of tires or shoe deodorizers, or a diamond necklace, and all I'd be staring at his this gorgeous, Japanese, hunk of male.
I got a great copy of "Beach Boys" this weekend and watched a few episodes. What a treat....sunshine, sand, ocean and a very cute (young) Yutaka. Made me want to hop on a plane and make reservations at the nearest "minisuke" inn.

A great copy? Mine is only pretty good.
Is it subbed in English? Can you tell me where to get it, please?
Think Im going to try Rondo again. I couldnt get into it the first time I watched. Must not have been in the mood.
You can purchase copies here at $5 a DVD. There are a lot of Yutaka doramas on this site. It's a great resource and the quality is excellent. I've purchased "Long Vacation," "Yankee Boku ni Kaeru," "Ruri no Shima" and "Toshii to Matsu." over the last year and I've been really pleased.
I'm down to the last episode of "Beach Boys." I really enjoyed the series. Great chemistry between the actors. I understand that there was a "Beach Boys Special" that came out a year later, but I haven't been able to find that anywhere. Even if I do, I'm sure it won't have eng. subs.
