1. High-school drama [Rating: 7/10]
This drama is a high-school drama. It has all the usual characteristics of dramas that are about teenagers. You have some fighting, studying and the troubles of growing up and figuring out your own path in life. Watching this drama you will probably not come across anything that is new on this subject, since it has been done many times before. However, this story is still worth watching just for the fun of it. It doesn't want to take itself seriously. The way the story is told makes you seriously consider that it's more like a parody of the genre, rather than an actual take on it.

It doesn't lack a story and likeable characters. The main protagonist is a boy names Daichi, who is the son of a doctor who has a small general clinic. He is played by the very cute Narimiya Hiroki, who has a memorable smile. He is the "Yankee". In Japan a "Yankee" is a sort of a juvenile delinquent. He skips school a lot, gets into fights and is generally bad news. As can be predicted, he will not stay the same till the end of the drama, though he will not completely change either.

The main female character is Adachi Hana, who is the "good girl" in the school. We can see Naka Riisa in this role who pulls it off very well. Striving to be the perfect normal high school student, it becomes obvious she is trying a bit too hard. It's not an easy role for Naka Riisa as such a character can easily become too much for the audience, but she remains loveable through the whole story. I also have to note that as I've seen her in several dramas, she is an excellent actress, and always plays her characters in a believable fashion.

The story is the usual "good girl reforms bad boy", but with a twist. Both of them are changed by the experiences they have and grow up a lot, not just the bad boy. They are two extremes that try to define themselves based on the labels they adapted, but humans can't be defined by labels. As they get to know each other better, they both have to come to realise that they are both just humans.

I do recommend watching the drama, but it may not be suitable for people who are well beyond their own high-school drama.

2. Light viewing [Rating: 6/10]
Narimiya Hiroki may be too old to play a high-schooler, but somehow he still fits quite nicely in the role. Naka Riisa tends to overact in a rather irritating sort of manner; Hongo Kanata just can't act. The storyline is quite formulaic - problem, Shinagawa and Adachi try to solve it, problem solved, everyone is happy - but I like the ending which leaves Adachi's reply to Shinagawa's confession open. This drama's nice for light viewing; expect nothing too brilliant.

I watched the first episode not expecting to like it but I did, it kind of reminds me of Gokusen.

Very cute and worth a watch. Narimiya Hiroki and Naka Riisa really caught my attention. I will definitely follow their future projects from now on! It's HILARIOUS at times and really touching at others. My personal fav is the "kurunoka...?!" intro to a shoujo-mangaish dream sequence. I looked forward to them every episode! So sad it's over.

Not as good as Nobuta but similar because it tries to bring across positive messages about the importance of friendship. Sometimes fun, always easy going stuff - as in so many high school shows, the protagonists who are meant to be around 16, 17 years old behave and live the life of 13 years olds so the target is probably young teens.

i like narimiya and all but the casting is terrible...so is the screenplay....and the whole "let's be all fresh and highschool-y"
feels like a heaven and hell comparison with "My Boss My Hero"....which has similar things going on. No need to say which is is heaven, which one is hell.....

Ordinary school drama. I can't believe they use Hiroki as a main character when he's in 30 old age. But oddly he suit in his character. Naka riisa kawaiii, also bishin when she's on (SPOILER ALERT!!)Huricane ada character. But the other support character is plain.
Theme song: Loose Leaf [Hilcrhyme]: 8

Overall a really nice drama with an episodic structure but also an overall plot line. I liked its easy-going story, which wasn't completely superficial but still easy to watch. A refreshing drama to watch if you don't want too much drama but rather something fun and easy-going.

This drama was such an enjoyable watch!!!xD I fell in love with the quirkiness; the cliche' yet captivating plot; the anime-like undertones; and of course: the characters! I recommend this drama to anyone who misses the good 'ol stuff like hana kimi and hana yori dango :)

this drama was funny and stuff. but.... not something i would watch twice. i started watching i because of narimiya hiroki. but after a while i discovered that i do like this drama! funny and i do love the fights. but yea :)

well I enjoyed it even if it has all the cliche of the genre, probably because it also has characters that are funny and unsual.
I find the relationship between the main characters very amusing and sweet!

A low-rent version of "Nobuta" and it didn't help having Narimiya playing a high school kid at the ripe old age of 28. He was a college senior in "Orange Days" which was made 6 years before this!!

Although cheesy because it is based on a manga, I love this! Both actors are so good together and play their roles well, though Narimiya is too old to play a high school student nowadays...

Very cute and good way to pass the time. Some of the middle episodes were boring, but the beginning and the end made up for it. I loved the ending, it was more than I expected at least.

It followed the manga pretty accurately. I loved the actors, they were brilliant. It wasn't as funny as the manga of course, but it was great nonetheless.

average, really really average, not even hilarious or touching, just some drama in which nothing major happened and time just passed.

isn't Nirimiya Hiroki too old to be high school boy? the performance a bit over the top, but have it cuteness

Perfect acting, interesting plot, deep discussion about teenagers having to decide their future. The main reason for my voting for this drama, though, is that it made me laugh so hard I fell from my chair. I found it so great and funny that I actually watched all the episodes in two days. I recomend it for everyone willing to fall in love with a drama! I totally fell in love with this one! Yay!!
2. SweetchillixD
Can you say: Awesome!!xD Despite the cliche' plot, this drama was so entertaining and funny that it was down-right impossible to not watch all the episodes one after the other. Takes one back to the good old days of hana kimi and hana yori dango. Gotta watch it!xD
