If you're going to watch just one J Drama, you gotta watch Long Vacation. This has to be one of the best dramas ever produced. Fabulous story line and the characters were greatly portrayed by an all star cast. I especially enjoyed Inamori's character. She was hilarious. Trust me, go rent this one!!

i really love this drama.You will never get bored but you will laugh till the end of the drama.I like Minami very much.The soundtrack is great too.Eventhough the drama was produced in 1996,but it is still worth watching in the 21st century.

The story is very touching. Some scenes can make me sad. But I think it's a bit bored.
I love Minami's character here.

This is a classic. Regardless of what others had said, it has the best soundtrack in all Japanese dramas. And the setting is wonderful. Every character stands out in this drama and many people have watched it umpteen times. This is the only drama I feel which brings together the best of the actors in Japan. Yamaguchi, Takuya,Yutaka, Ryoko and all. And the wonderful theme song. The great mood created throughout the whole drama due to the fabulous acting as well as the music. Great chemistry between Takuya and Yamaguchi. Don't miss it if u call urself a japanese drama fan.

Long Vacation dorama is really great .It's unbelievealbe if anyone don't like this dorama .The song is also great ,a mix between classic and pop .I hope there will be Long Vacation 2 .

i bought this drama b'cuz of all the hype about it..and when i bought it.. i must say i wasn't disappointed! my mom who dosen't like jap dramas said it was very entertaining! she particularly liked takuya's acting..praising it as highly skilled as he potrayed his character's feelings in a subtle way in which many japanese artists cannot.. i highly recommend this drama! certainly not one to be missed...

The drama tells us about adult relationship and how they overcome their problems.The song for this drama is great.I think LV2 is will be just as good

I love this series! Although its not my fav. but i love the music and songs~ Some of the part are emotional too~ I enjoy watching it~
And yes, they're making LV2!! OMG, Takizawa will be with us too !!

This is the absolute best drama I have ever watched.What I like best about this story is that it gives those down an encouraging pull.Yamaguchi's acting is certainly the most natural,and Kimura well expressed emotions simply just makes one ask for more.It also has a side of humour and one of the best soundtracks ever.

I especially love the script. It really does sound like real normal conversation. It's not like some lousy drama the moment you hear they speak, you know they're acting.

Nice story eventhough at first it was boring.. but this drama make me wanted to play piano again (Infact I don't play for 5 years). I always dreaming to play like as greatest as I could (like final episode when Senna play in a concert) & I know I still can get better. Thank's Takuya for this great performances (act).

woa! takuya is really great! he's made senna alive! both senna and minami are soooo stupid to hide themself... but i do think that's the sexiest part in this drama... when they finally realize that they actually loving each other and not just missing each other......

Long Vacation is one of the best drama series that i ever watched. It's funny, sweet and very touching when their relationship gets closer. I think both Minami and Takuya acted in this drama very well.

Takuya was as good as always, the plot was quite good too, but not as good as I thought it would be. Since I´m a fan of Love generation I wished that Matsu Takako was the one to end up with Senna. I even thought that Minami was very annoying and drunk all the time. Tomoko isn´t even pretty.

This show is really entertaining and has a superb cast.My personal fave is Yutaka,with his bearded look he simply lights up the screen whenever he appears.The story,well,can be said to be one of its kind in its era,but I guess I will enjoy it more if other doramas don't use the same plot over and over again,which kinda makes this show look...well...plain if you don't watch it first.However,that's not neccesarily a bad thing as a quite similiar drama to Long Vacation,Overtime,has bettered it.Takuya's acting is still the same,totally no changes in whichever drama he acts in,Though he is still comfortable to look at,it can be kinda a drag at times.(heaved a huge sigh of relief when I saw him in HERO,finally some changes).The music is good,but I think it's over-hyped.In conclusion,I still think this drama does stand out from the rest and it's worth the $.

The storyline is good and the actors all put in very convincing performances but what really stands out about this show is the music. The significance of each scene was portrayed very clearly through the music that was used. Without the great music, I believe this show would not have become the well-loved classic that it is !!
