I really enjoyed this drama. It's so touching and heartwarming. I liked watching the relationships between the characters, and the dynamics between them. Very nice story about having the will to live on.
The ending totally devastated me though. I was totally reeling from it. Definitely a tear jerker.

This is a very cute & warm drama. Very touching. It teaches you a lot about family and its warmness. I love the lunch or dinner scenes :-). For the most part, it's a tear jerker. Nice ending too.
Good drama. must see.

I enjoyed it a lot but the ending is totally to fast not enough emotions showed for Natsuo.
That ruin all.

summer snow kept me up from the beginning to the end. i didn't even want to skip the opening and ending song..lol.
first off, the storyline is awesome. it portrays reality - typical days in Japan, but at the same time the story seems so original. you'll understsand when you watch.
next, this drama features a great cast that made the soap feel so realistic. development of relationship is definitely a plus as well - nothing was rushy..everything flowed smoothly.
then we have the ending, which in my opinion, is vital for adding extra props for summer snow! for me personally, it was unpredictable. if you take the dialogues (at the end) to a deeper level, you'll totally understand just how fulfilling of a meaning the ending creates for natsuo and yuki, and of course the audience.
the music rocks, as always. the ending video matches perfectly with the song. yay for kinki kids! =)
all in all, this drama is one of the best i've ever seen so far. i'm satisfied now that i'm done with it. so give it a try! i hope you'll enjoy it as much as i did. *have a tissue box within your reach!*

This is my favorite drama of all time.
Great plot, most memorable characters, family appropriate, wonderful music, great imagery, wonderful culture, beautiful love.
This is dorama is just too good to be passed!

this drama is amazing. my fave jdorama ever. the story was so touching and the acting was great from everyone. in the beginning I had doubts bout Tsubasa's acting skills, but now i'm convinced that he has the talent.
Oguri Shun was so wonderful in this, he should've won an award. His portrayal of the guy was so realistic that if I hadn't already seen him in other dramas I wouldn't thought he really did have a hearing problem.
the ending is so totally unexpected but sweet. have tissues ready *tear tear*

Typical soap designed to tug at your tear ducts. Yes I got weepy but too much of the plot was unbelievable. You definitely need to turn off your logic detector to enjoy this. Most actions by the characters make little sense (apparently in Japan, if a doctor treats you, you are required to become his girlfriend). Plenty of moments got to me emotionally but you are required to ignore that the story line is kind of lame.

i know the story is good, but it is so sad..why does he have to die?
so sad...

After i got a hold of this series, i had high hopes...
I have absolutely no idea why so much people wrote that the last 2 episodes or the last episode makes them cry so much!
It was sad, but it wasn't emotional enough to make me jerk out a single tear...
Mainly because the music was not one of those sad ones like in GTO or in Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu.
If you are looking for a REAL tear jerker then i suggest GTO or Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu. Although this series wasn't emotional, it was fun to watch!

Tsuyoshi is a surprisingly good actor. For the most part, he's very funny and engaging. Shun Oguri is wonderful as Jun, and Ryoko Hirosue is an enjoyable Yuki, despite crying hysterically and rather irritatingly throughout the entire show. Even Tsubasa Imai did a decent job, which is notable, as he doesn't appear to have much experience in the drama department.
This show was great -- I laughed, I cried, I imagined Jun naked, I had a good time -- UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE, which was completely and utterly god-awful. I was rolling my eyes so hard I thought my head might explode. Seriously. I won't give away the ending, but I will say that the thought crossed my mind early on -- maybe episode 4 or 5 -- and I dismissed it, saying, "Nah, that's way too stupid and cliched. The wouldn't actually use that for the ending." Well, uh... they did. And if you have more than half a brain, I'm sure you'll pick up on exactly what they're going to do WAY before they actually do it... and you'll laugh because the idea is so lame and played out, then you'll think to yourself, "Oh, god. Why did I waste 10 hours of my life watching this drama? I CAN NEVER GET THAT 10 HOURS BACK AGAIN!"
The ending ruins the entire series. If you absolutely MUST see Summer Snow, please don't bother downloading or watching episode 11, as you will regret it for the rest of your mortal life.
Thank you.

I've been putting off watching Summer Snow because I already knew the ending, but I just couldn't hold off any longer! But I did watch it with a sense of dread, because it is sad. But overall I feel satisfied after watching it. This drama was great, not the standard plot line, and pretty much unpredicable. I really loved all the characters. The acting from them, especially the main 5, was great, especially the chemistry between Natsuo (Dohmoto) and Yuki (Hirosue). It is definetly a drama I won't soon forget, and a must watch for any dorama fan.

very very sad I can`t cry no more

The main theme is like a clone of 'Beautiful Life', i didn't even bother watching the end of this. The plot of this drama is somewhat predictable....although they might put this huge plot twist at the end, it takes too much to get there...

I'm so pissed off by those who gave really low rating on this dorama on the ground of not liking tsuyoshi or johnny's jr. members. I only knew tsuyoshi tru hajime kindaichi and didin't pay much attention to him personally. Didn't really care who's in johnny jr. (except SMAP of course). Tsuyoshi portray Natsuo to perfection and the chemistry between him and ryoko is fine. Yes he is short, not cute, frumpy(in hobbit kind of way) but he is truly talented (Man..I'm not even his fan). Please GO WATCH IT AGAIN (with a clear, unbiased mind).
I've watch it with no expectation and knowing the outcome of the ending yet I was blown away by it neverthelss.
