After watching it again, i've boosted it bak to where it wus suppose to be. I guess first time, i watched it, i got really angry at the ending, cuz i like "happy happy, no one dies" endings. thus explaining the bad "-1" second time around, i realized that this drama deserves the 9. must-watch for sure....seriously solid acting all around...the songs although didn't catch onto me much...after hearing them again, i'm trying to figure out all the guitar parts of each tune in the show. the doctor i thought wus a fag...he better not get yuki in the future....holy!

The Story::
The first episodes were so fun to watch, full of youth and energy, that, when the story concluded, I was left feeling really annoyed. I dont like watching these types of shows. But, I definitely agree that the way the story was played out made the show the hit that it is today. It did not give the cliched ending, and although I kinda guessed what might happened, I was still on the edge until the very end.
The Actors::
This was Dohmoto and Hirosue's show. They played the characters so well and convincing. Although Dohmoto got annoying sometimes with his preaching, he remained a generously kind and classy young man. Hirosue's charm convinced me to be her fan :)
In Summary::
If your looking for a drama, this is it. Like everyone said, make sure you have the tissue ready, especially for eps 10 & 11.
"Otsukimi" portion of episode 10 are my favorite scenes in all of the jdoramas! That alone made the show worth watching :)

First of all, I was surprised how I neglected this drama completely for soooo long...until like last week, when i felt really bored and watched this good show. Anus! Holy frig...minus one for the stupidly tragic ending....minus another one for not having enough romantic scenes between yuki and natsuo...aside from those bad points, yeap, this show is awesome...trying to figure out that catchy guitar tune during those sentimental scenes right now...

I really thought that this drama was totally awesome, from the beginning... to the second to the last episode. After watching the last episode, I sat in my chair looking at the screen and saying to myself... what the hell? Don't get me wrong, the drama was great, and the ending, although screwed up, was great, too. Its just that, whenever I hear summer or snow, I think of... "It was Natsuo... wasn't it?" GAAAAAAH!!! I gotta watch it again now ^^

i've started watching nihon dorama this years and over 20 dramas i'd watched and think this is the best drama i ever watched.10/10 for awesome plot,good acting and unexpected ending.

Really absorbing love story. Great acting by Hirosue Ryoko and Domoto Tsuyoshi in the roles of Natsuo and Yuki. Love the way Yuki felt so uninhibited about her condition whenever she was with Natsuo. But the ending though.... my god.. One of the best.

A great plot with some great actors...I totally fell in love with all of the characters...but I'm gonna have to warn you....your eyes will at least get watery by the end

I like this dorama very much. Not just a great acting by Tsuyoshi and Ryoko but also a good acting by Tsubasa,Chizuru and Shun. No wonder Tsuyoshi won the award for this dorama. I hope more of Tsuyoshi's great dorama. For all the actors and actress , "ganbate".

This is one love story that deserves two thumbs up. The main characters portrayed their roles very well, and I truly enjoyed watching their relationship develop. One of those dramas where you can really get into the story and feel the characters. A simple love story, but with much delight.

Just finished watching it a couple of minutes ago and I must say that it's one of the best dramas I've watched so far. It get's pretty emotional most of the times especially the ending. All in all it's a must see for everyone.

Summer Snow is a Jdrama Mandartory to watch. I like the way Tsuyoshi Dohmoto is sooo goofy yet sooo caring and can be soo serious when you piss him off or not do the right thing. Also i love Ryoko Hirosue in it she is soo naive and innocent yet she is sick when she is trying to be with the one she loves. The ending is soo sad tho i cried like hell. ^_^

This is a good story. Ryoko Hirosue character is a delight to as she is shy and carefull and is brought out to blossom. Tsuyoshi Dohmoto as a onisan plays the typical oldest son stereotype image and takes care of everyone. This is a classic and I was depressed for days. This is so Japanese to do this to me! This one is my current #2.

I loved this show! The chemistry between Hirosue and Tsuyoshi was great! The rest of the cast was fantastic as well. Very touching and romantic with some comedic moments to make it a great overall show. Other than a short scene in one of the later episodes......an unexpected and touching ending that made me tear up (this, Kamisama, Mou Sukoshi Dake and Beautiful Life are the only dramas that have done that) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

i totally sympathise with this dorama. it seems to be based on the problems we face everyday in the real world. i felt so connected with this drama.plus the guys were so incredibly cute

I have to admit that I rarely cry when it comes to movies or television but this one made me want to cry. This is such a sad drama. It is one of those dramas that make you scream "Why did it turn out this way!!?". I recomend this drama to more experienced dorama viewers; this is not one of those "break-in" doramas. Not only was this dorama great in story and characters but it made me fall in love with Ryoko Hirosue ^_^

This is one of the best dramas yet! Though it can get boring at times, the story is still heart warming, and sadly sweet. Recommend it to all, but beware, this is a tear jerker.

Oh my freaking holy cow. When my cousin recommended this to me, I didn't know what to expect but...holy freaking cow. Such a good balance of characters, Tsuyoshi was excellent in this drama. You want sentimental? Your village have a shortage of water? Watch this now.

Quite possibly THE greatest drama I have ever watched..and my word, I can't see any other being done better than this.

The story is fantastic, the dialogue fits well with the character's age/personality, and the acting is on par between great and excellent. The ending is plain terrific; I really didn't see it coming, and actually went back the ep's to see any links between the finale (i.e Natsuo's shirt, the interactions with the character, dialogue etc). It is truly a life altering drama, and I fully admit that it's the only one that has made me cry.

I cannot recommend this series enough.
