The plot of the story is very interesting. Towards the end of the drama, when I watched the scene of Natsuo having an accident, I do not think that he would die later. The show is very touching as even when Natsuo was dead, he still go to the hospital to visit Yuki and said to her that he would always be with her.

I quickly downloaded this because of all the reviews..
and man it was good
a good simply drama.. easy to get into
but why is it so sad ;__; .. i was fighting back the tears :X

I've almost finished this jdrama and from what i've seen i love it! The humor is just right and the drama makes my heart burst. The acting of Dohmoto Tsuyoshi really makes me laugh because he has such a great way of being nervous the Japanese way :P I would recommend this jdrama to anyone who wants to start watching jdrama.

Good acting from Tsuyosi & Ryoko. The story is same like what happen with my Mom. He is work so hard to get his brother and his sister school. Beside he is the type of man who wouldn't give up so easy without trying it first.
I cry in the last episode, that is very touching moment when he still care about his brother, sister, and his girl even he already death.
GOOD ACTING from all of them, especially for Tsuyosi Domoto after became a cool boy in "To Heart", he can be so warm in this drama.

a very touching and heart warming drama.....especially when Natsuo's 'spirit'(i think so..) went back to have a look at Yuki after her operation. However, i must say that i was pretty surprise by how the story turns at the end of the drama...i wonder if you guys notice that 'Natsuo' and 'Yuki' in Japanese Han, if you combine them, means "Summer Snow"! How interesting...

I love this drama! It's so touching.
I cried in the last episode coz it was so sad...eventhough tsuyoshi was mean and everything at first but he soons realises... The ending was unexpected and I was like..WOAH? How could that happen?
This drama also made me realise how good Oguri Shun is as an actor and made me like Tsubasa Imai.
But I recommend everyone to watch it, and of coz Tsuyoshi fans should watch it!!

Summer Snow is indeed an excellent production. It weaves a simple yet powerful love story. Tsuyoshi playing the role of a fatherly figure as well as a self-sacrificing lover, very suitable in my opinion! Hirosue looked her very best in this drama too. In fact, she is one of my favourite female jap artistes~

It was a sad story. I normally couldn't bear watching sad scenes but I had to....because I thoguht it was a comedy....or some sort of mind -soothing drama at first....but after the show, I couldn't help thinking of its ending. It made me conclude that this show was really.....very....heart breaking!!

This drama was excellent. I am new to Japanese dramas but I already know this is going to be hard to beat. It has a great love story and deals with some life lessons. I like how Natsuo is so father-like but yet can show emotion. I loved Ryoko's acting and will watch some of her other dramas now! Must see!!! Very touching. WARNING: DONT READ THE REVIEW ABOVE MINE, IT IS A SPOILER! But if you already have, don't be discouraged because the story is great anyway.

Dohmoto is really funny in this story! He is a very protective brother! I like his character, he is not a smart or educated guy but he can take care his family!! But the last episode is rather sad, since he died!!!
It's really interesting to surf in the sea with your loves one! So romantic, holding hands and together with him all by yourself!!

This drama is good.I really love Ryoko hirosue in this drama
but the ending was so unpredictable... I cry so badly in the last 2 episodes.. You got to see it by yourself...

This is one of the best dorama ever made!~I just finished watching it a few minutes ago and I am still having tears........ This drama is extremely touching and yet still have parts where you can laugh at. As a KinKi Kids fan, I just loved this drama!~ Tsuyoshi kun was sugoii in the movie.

If you're looking for one good example of an everlasting love, then you better watch this drama! The storyline was simple. But realistic perhaps except for the "cute comedies" which was CUTE!! The ending was probably the best part of all. Like what majority of audience said, it was drastic, tragic but really symbolises everlasting love! So guys out there who are planning to hold their cries during the end, DON'T!!! 'CAUSE I'M STILL HURT BY DOING SO!!

This is the 1st show dat i find it very funny and sad. It makes me laugh and cry thru the show. I like all the main characters in the show, like tsu(big bro), 2nd bro(dunno his real name), ryoko(yuki), chika and hiroto. They really act well in their own characters, like tsu really look like 'obasan', 2nd bro as 'deaf' person, ryoko as heart problem person and etc... Like most of the reviewers here, this drama is highly recommended, cos my bro, dun fancy jap dramas, also watched this show more than 2 times. SO MUST WATCH!!!

Well just finished seeing this drama a few minutes ago and i go to say that Tsuyoshi did a great performance but Ryoko did an excellent.
The storyline is well written and the ending is very sad.a Drama Recommended

really really sad story, though u can more or less guess the ending it was still really really sad. cried and cried at the end. i like how the love story developed between yuki and natsuo, very touching!!!

This is what i call everlasting love story. I really enjoyed the show, although at first i can't understand it cause my japanese aren't good enough. But after i learned some more, I find that Natsuo's sacrifice is just like Titanic movie. Tsuyoshi is one of my favorite actor. He makes me laugh with his act every morning in the show. And of course, Ryoko's.....love it. Her act is great...and the end is soo touching. I cried every time I see it again. The show is a must see dorama i very recomended.
