mvc wrote:The thing I liked better in the anime than the drama was the fact that Yankumi actually displayed evidence that she is a Kumicho. In the drama, it was stated, but she didn't really do anything to convince you that she was the leader, rather just an inheritor. In the anime, Yankumi participated in the yakuza events, and didn't immediately deny the possiblilty of being the next leader. This was one of the aspects that I didn't really like about the drama. She downplayed the part of her that made her different from the teachers, and ironically it was this part that allowed her to bond with her students. The anime is pretty short however. I wish it was a full 26 ep series. :(

Good summing up.
The anime could certainly have been longer and I also felt her lack in acting the Kumicho role.

Is that good? What is it about?

I've been looking for a good new anime to watch, so many of the ones I've seen in the past year haven't done much for me.

It was brilliantly done I felt. The stylistic way the animation artwork was treated was exciting and sometimes even a little....
disturbing perhaps....... or unsettling, might be the better word.

Based on Alexandre Duma's tale of The Count of Monte Cristo, there is a reason why the story line is tight. There is a reason why that book is still selling after a couple hundred years.
But I found the anime kicked in by ep 2 or 3 or I wouldnt have watched it.

Just started watching an older anime, Key The Metal Idol released in '94. I really was not expecting much, Im not big on robots. But the story is strangely compelling as was the story of Pinocchio.
Im on the fourth episode and continuing to forge ahead. So far so good.
