oh boy, really got me excited about this!! is there any chance of a continuation for the live action drama??
:puppydog: :beaten:

I can't wait for October to roll around. More Nodame Cantabile! :victory:

Haven't heard any news of a continuation, but given its popularity and with the manga still on-going, I think there's a good chance of seeing more of the live-action drama.

I watched the first episode of Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto -Natsu no Sora and while there isn't much of a story going on just yet, I really like the visuals in this anime, at least of the time. The combination of CGI and hand-dramn animation looks great, but on some scenes it look very odd. Just hope that there's a good story to back up the great visuals.

yup, it's a pretty good show. i enjoyed it thoroughly, despite the lack of abundant takoyaki.

Trippy and visually exhilarating.

It's an acid trip.

Huh! ADV look like they have no plans to release the fourth volume of Red Garden anytime soon (it was meant to be in August, I think). Ack.

Lol! I was considering Paprika, but seeing these comments kind of makes me glad I didn't buy it. :hehe:
I do have Millenium Actress and Perfect Blue on the way, though...
*gulp*

Millenium Actress is one of the best anime movies ever made.

Yeah? I haven't seen any of Satoshi Kon's stuff before, but these two titles sounded great - especially MA, as it happens. :D

I'm currently watching Death Note. I've watched the first two episodes, which have left me desperate to see more. Very exiting stuff (never read the manga or seen the movies, so I don't know the story, I'm pleased to say).
I also saw the first episode of Welcome To The NHK on a demo disc, and it was fabulous. The dancing creature on the end credits is bizarre and hilarious.

But oh! WE GET SCREWED in the UK with both the above series - only 1 volume of DN is available here so far, and Welcome... is POTENTIALLY NEVER going to be released here. Gah. :bleh:

Death Note and Welcome to the NHK were two of the best anime series I've seen in a loooooong time. Very good picks.

If worse comes to worst...you could download both those animes off the web...if you can't download I can get download them for you and put them on disc and send them to you....you'll most likely have to watch them on your comp tho instead of a television, love.

Your favorite duckie,

Triky.

Lawks, you're generous. Thank you, but I've got a real problem watching stuff on a comp. If I can't get official discs somehow, I'll try to find them somewhere I can get them on dvd discs. No worries. :victory:
And, you'll have more time to be able to be acquiring ASBOS. Result!

Can I ask you - how many episodes is Welcome To The NHK?
I've got the first two volumes of the manga, and it's been disappointing - the anime looks far superior.
What is that creature meant to be at the end of the anime, by the way? It's cute, and I want one.

Welcome to the NHK is 24 episodes. As for the creature, I'm not exactly sure what it is suppose to be but it metaphorically represents the idea or realm of conspiracy that the main character dwells in, I think. I don't know if it's drawn from the manga or not, because I've only seen the anime. The anime is superbly funny...definitely watch it until the end for it is worthwhile in many respects.

Ah, I can see that...but I still enjoyed it and I thought the plot was most intriguing for an anime...far from the cookie cutter ish you see a lot of....
