I wonder if that's a contributing factor to the booming suicide rate in Japan.

11K in Japan...you must be living on instant ramen and chips. I spent a couple grand on my recent trip to Japan, and I was only there for a week and half.

I'm sure without being subsidized by your family or spouse it is impossible to manage. :shakehead:

Kimi ni Todoke. The author managed to make a very common story original with real emotions. The art is absolutely beautiful. This is unlike any other manga/anime I have read/seen. Definitely take a look if you are interested.

Agreed, it's currently my favorite series. I think it'll hit my top ten if it continues as it is going. It's been a while since i've eagerly awaited the next episode for a series that has no fan service or blood and violence, at least not yet.

Kimi ni Todoke is definitely a krim recommended all ages series.

Ive been reading this manga for agees now. the author for this has written other works and they`re all great (like CRAZY FOR YOU) so real happy when the anime came out. I think the anime is decent but the manga is better, part of the reason is that SADAKO is alot darker to start off with in the manga and i dont think this is fully portrayed in the anime  BUT still worth watching and is a great anime :victory:

I finally saw Summer Wars. Great fun, good recommendation Kaz. The film even showcases some of the art of world famous pop artist Takashi Murakami.

Yeah it was great fun. I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. After seeing The Girl Who Leapt Through Time I didn't doubt that Summer Wars would be fun though.
