I wonder what prompted the addition.... Maybe the ending in episode 11 was unsatisfactory??

Apparently Michiru needs to go back to Sousuke one more time. Eleven episodes just won't cut it for her. She has to go back, so just we the viewers have something to get upset about. I mean it's happened for four episodes in a row, so what's the harm in an extra episode?Well, Michiru does feel some kind of bond with Sousuke, two loners from broken families together trying to create something better than what they experienced before. Not exactly the deepest of reasons, but I can see where Michiru could try to reason with herself and others about going back to Sousuke. I suppose one could argue that some of the things we do just simply have no rhyme or reason, and that our emotions and feelings can lead us to do things that we might never do if we were on the outside looking in. I could understand that, though for this drama it's borders on overkill. We get it, Michiru's attached to Sousuke, so much that she's goes back to him despite the hurt he has caused her. Does it have to keep happening though? Eventually someone or something has to give in order for this drama to progress, and we don't need four episodes of the same thing in order to make progress. Granted, looking at the preview for episode five, it looks like all hell could break loose, and we might some progress. Just don't have shocking moments simply for the sake of shock, dangling yet another carrot in our faces just so we actually tune into the next episode. Sadly, at this rate it's working. Personally, it's my want to see progress that keeps me watching. It's almost like I'm Michiru in some small way, constantly coming back no matter how disappointing things get, in hopes that it will get better eventually. I seriously doubt though, that the creators of this show would make a crummy drama to get that point across, though kudos to them for suckering me in for four episodes if that is actually the case. As for the other half of the couple, Sousuke still comes off as a villain simply because the drama needs one for viewers to get angry at. Can't call it a drama without someone causing it. To his credit, Ryo does well with what he's given. He does come off as a controlling, creepy, psychotic nutcase with a knack for wearing a suit and tie even when it rains. Sometimes you're only as good as the material given to you, which in this case isn't much.
And so end my mindless mini-rant... :victory:
