Video Games/Gaming/etc.

The Bunker in LittleBigPlanet is making me tear my hair out. Plenty of people have completed it, but it's soooo tricky. :sweat:

So I was thinking about old school games the other day. And I mean real old school. I was wondering about the old interactive fiction games like Zork or A Mind Forever Voyaging.

Since they were text based games, I thought it was a shame you can't play them on a modern PC. Oh, how wrong I was! After looking around, I found that there is a program that will read those old games and those games are still around. People still write them, just not commercially.

Just get Windows Frotz and those old games in z-machine format.

I just bought Left 4 Dead for PC, looking forward to some zombie blasting once the updates are finished. Does anyone else have this game? Perhaps we can join up for some co-op. :victory:

I just downloaded Dosbox http://www.dosbox.com/ which is a free program that emulates the old Windows DOS and allows you to play (mostly now free) DOS games on a new machine. It works! Now to track down some RPG classics :victory:

Thanks for the heads up, AD! I got it to work and downloaded 2 games from the past: Stellar 7 and STUN Runner. I also recently purchased Chrono Trigger for the DS. I'm in an Old School Gaming Mode it seems.

Edit: Ok, the DOS version of Stellar 7 sucks. I realized that I remembered the Apple II version of it with wire frame graphics. So I found AppleWin and a .dsk file of Stellar 7, and now it's all good. I can even plug in my USB joystick, and it works as a controller!

Started playing Burnout Paradise for the PC the last two days. I'm enjoying it so far, reminds me a bit of the SEGA arcade racers before the days of Gran Turismo. It's fun to race against other people and try to take them out of a race. Adds some variety to a simple Point-A-to-B race.

any one have street fighter 4 for the ps3?

Although personally I dislike foul language, there are others here who aren't bothered by it. However, there are also minors here so I will edit the foul language out.

is just a game, take no more then 5 min to play per day...

and it dont infer with jdorama at all, it not a drama website

Awesome game, really. When I complete it, I'll start Persona 4 right away!
