yes... but i've been tired of them for a long time... i mean, Doom came out 1993, it's 2005 people... im shocked so many people still love the same game(s) (albeit with different characters/settings) for 12 years.

old habits are hard to break....
imagine if they had Kung Fu Master come out on the XBox or another generation of Street Fighter come out again, evolution....or something like that.

I have Halo for Xbox, but I never finished it. I suck at FPS on console and I don't play much on the PC these days.
I solved Halo 1 on the easy level, and Halo 2 on the normal level, BUT i would never last in a tournament against other online players, they are way too good. I only beat the computer, one on one.
I've been playing BLACK, I think it's surprisingly fun. (no more vietnam or WW2 - let's kill some more Nazi crap please) it's really basic shoot everything you see type of game. without having to pay attention to the "story". even though they wanted to create the atmosphere that you're THE ultimate blackop agent and that you're dealing with highly suspicious intel, there's no sneaking around here: no Sam Fisher tactics in BLACK: just move around and kill those baddies. there's not even a jump! button.
the levels are pretty big, most levels take around an hour or longer to clear (especially when you scout every corner) and the game looks pretty good too. (I'm playing this on Xbox) no it's not the best shooter of all time, but it's good fun. Minor spoiler: they also paid homage to the movie THE ROCK. you'll know when you play it. :hehe:
if they keep adding hot gravure idols in the cast, and make it an all-girl school, then maybe i will watch it more..LOL :hehe:
nah, i could download porn for that... then at least i wouldn't have to try and forget i've seen the same episode last time, just with different characters. :beaten:

If i wanted to something with the same (non)plot, with a different cast and hot chicks, i'd go watch porn, and I wouldn't have to worry about not understanding the dialogue or get distracted by subtitles. :hehe:

AMEN
i want those platform fighting games back
like a new double dragon or TMNT
MK shoalin monks is a nice try
Those 2D scolling beat m ups were the best. (who didn't love Final Fight and Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle?) sadly these games got lost in the "3D" transition... Fighting Force and Dynamite Dekka titles just didn't cut it. Spike Out was great at the arcades, but the Xbox game they released last year came out 4 years too late. The new 3D Final Fight seems to be totally shit too :beaten:
as for 2D fighters like Street Fighter..no matter how great they were a decade ago, they are shit today. I loved SF and KOF games, but they just can't improve them anymore. The VS games were fun, the Playstation just couldn't load them :bonk: on the Saturn they made near perfect conversions though. I own all the Capcom fighters that came out that period. who said that Saturn was shit? for the fighterfanatic it was gamersheaven. Then came Dreamcast: it gave us perfect ports of SF3, Marvel vs Capcom, Capcom vs SNK and some more Playmore games after SNK went bankrupt. But they just can't come up with something new anymore.
same feeling I have with those survival horror games: Biohazard 1 aka Resident Evil was awesome! and so was Silent Hill 1. I loved them to death, I finished all the Biohazard games in 2 nights :beaten: (that includes 1,2,3 and CV) but now I can't be bothered anymore. Just when I play newer Silent Hill titles I get the feeling: &%$*&^^! the door is locked, screw this - I'm not looking for the damn key again :hehe:
