I picked up the Kanji Sonomama dictionary for the DS. I think this will be very useful. I can write the characters one at a time and it will find the words with that combination.

The one problem with it is that it assumes the time set is in Japan time, so the built in world clock is useless.

I bought it 2 weeks ago. It's great, but I must say my writting skills sucks. There are a lot of english words in the descriptions and word search too. I love it.

Bonus:

Play Manhole
While in the universal dictionary mode, search for "MANHOLE" and select the greyed out entry that appears. You'll be able to play the old Game&Watch game on your DS!

Hear the the Mario coin-get sound
If you search for Nintendo or Nintendo related things such as systems or characters, you'll find greyed out entries that produce the coin sound from the mario games when selected.

^ Really. I will try these tonite.

About the English words. I think it's great that the English translation appears with the Japanese sentences.

I'm not sure if you are aware of the stroke order for kanji. I should check to see how well it recognizes the character if I make up some other order.

I played Ace Combat 5 (?) and it was a fighter jet game. Mostly arcade, but fun.

Yeah, but I don't know them. :shamefulcry: In fact, I'm having problem with the hiragana too. I don't know how to write them properly. Anything fancier than, i, no, ko, ha and I'm screwed. :beaten: I guess I'll have to learn how to write them...

Sounds cool :) . I'm not really into musical instrument games, but I got into this arcade game called Drummania because of those cool Jrock and Jpop songs in it  .
