yeah japan didn't take their chances well enough and it caused em dearly in the last 10mins.. they could had been 3-4 up if they're more deadly in the finishing half..

it does seem they couldn't seal the deal as they say...being up by one goal almost the whole match and then to lose three goals in ten minutes...sounds like they didn't capitalize and fell apart

I didn't watch the second half. I only caught Japan's lone (controversial) goal. Were they still trying to be aggressive, or trying to protect the (slim) lead?

actually i understand they played pretty agressively the whole match but couldn't finish their attacks...as soon as that first Aussie goal was scored i think they crumbled.

Like the US, Japan has to worry about the goal differential.

Australia deserved to win that match, they played well right from the start, only to be spoiled by bad refreeing. If you watch the replay, the first goal from japan its clearly a foul. Takahara pushed Peter Cech away from the ball. But the socceroos did well to snatch 3 goals in the last 5 minutes. :bow:

Sorry for USA, they were no match for the Czechs. The second goal from Rosicky is surely the best goal in the tournament so far...there's nothing keller can do to stop that goal.

I definitely support the Japanese team ! and I thought they would win against Australia . Good beginning ... then ... bad luck . :puppydog:
I hope the French team will lose quickly ( sorry for my French people ) because they ( the players ) are much too pretentious ! :grumble:

i think Brazil is favored to win....again!

The Japanese played well but they fell apart at the end....no excuse to give up 3 goals in 10 minutes! I think that must be a World Cup record or something!

yeah...I also think Brazil is surely going to win the cup again.
They have the best striker and best playmaker in the world, even their defenders is capable of scoring goal. You can't see any reason for them losing any matches.

I think it will be Germany vs Brazil again this year. It would be an UPSET if Brazil loses.

we shall see! it's a bit too early to tell...but i agree the world believes the brazilians are the favorite.

Italy lead 1 : 0 at half time. A great goal from pirlo from outside the penaltybox.

The socceroos did well to score 3 goals in the last 5 mins, even though the 1-1 was sorta the japanese goalkeeper to blame. if that one didn't go in they probably would have won. Japan has decent midfielders, but has always been weak up front.

I watched that US vs Czech rep match: it shows again that the Czechs are great, they were the strongest team in Portugal 2 years ago. shame Koller got injured, now they don't have a proper striker anymore and this could have impact on their next matches.
