If it were their schtick, I'd bet their leaders would request the players to commit seppuku after losing to save face. :shakehead:
Seriously. Well hope their fate is not as dire as many believe it is...because after suffering that crushing blow to Portugal...they're done. A first round boot for the N. Koreans and a boat ride back to Pyongyang. :boot:

Awful showing by North Korea... Will Kim Jong Il have the team liquidated?
Yeah, my sis and I had run out of defection/Kim Jong-il/"good Korea, bad Korea" jokes by the time Portugal made their 5th goal. Goals 6 & 7 we were just shaking our heads and for the very first time, actually fearing for the lives of the team. Poor chumps! And that goalie? He's SO kimchi.

They will be tortured upon their return...while the country will be told the World Cup tournament is Western conspiracy implemented to undermine the sovereignty of North Korea and its Great Leader. Meanwhile King Jong Il will continue to kidnap hookers from South Korea as well as hair stylists to maintain the height of his buffon hairdo.
Too funny!
p.s. The hamburger anecdote from the article = :mwahaha:
So it will by Argentina vs. Mexico, Uruguay vs. South Korea in the next round. The Mexicans always give us a headache.
Argentina advances with perfect record. It was great to see Palermo finally getting his. :victory: One of the greatest Argentine striker of all times. I almost shed a tear when he scored. He became the oldest player to score for Argentina in a World Cup.
Too bad South Africa became the first host nation to not make it out of the group stages.
France is probably happy their nightmare is over. Who thinks the Irish are happy?
And the refs continue, the other day when Spain played Villa clearly hit a player in the face and doesn't even get a foul called against him. :shakehead:

With all the Latin-Americans in SoCal, especially Mexicans and Mexican-Americans, this is going to be an highly anticipated match. I am really looking forward to this game.
A match for the AGES...a nail biter to the last. So much emotion and drama...an uplifting result for the NEVER SAY DIE American side. Love it, love it, love it!

With the continuous non-stop playing nature of soccer, these are the best to watch.

Japan leads Denmark 2-0 after 30 minutes
RUSTENBURG, South Africa (AP)\Japan scored from two free kicks to take a 2-0 over Denmark after 30 minutes of their Group E decider in the World Cup on Thursday.
Keisuke Hondafs shot went over the wall and dipped to the left past a hesitant Denmark goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen in the 17th minute. Yasuhito Endo then curled a free kick around the wall and inside the right post in the 30th.
Japan needs only a draw to get through to the next round, while Denmark needs to win.
Denmark had an opportunity in the third minute when forward Jon Dahl Tomasson squared a pass to Simon Poulsen in front of goal, but the left backfs effort went over the bar.
Nice goal engineered by Honda. His performance all around tonight was fantastic, wonder if the big clubs of Europe took notice? West Ham could use a guy like that.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't realize Honda plays for CSKA Moscow. Ah well, I'm sure clubs from the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga will be keeping an eye on him for the next few days. :victory:
