No, he don't have gangster friends, but I think he has yankee friends... :sweat:

That picture came from a gossip magazine, but it was taken when Nakai went to beach during his private time I think... Then the residents over there saw him and want to take photo with Nakai, so Nakai took the picture with them. But then the photo was exposed to certain gossip magazine and they accused Nakai having connection with gangster(the people in that photo).... I think this incident stirred quite a problem and Johnny's agency decided to sue the magazine. If I'm not mistaken..... But magazine also badmouth Nakai for not realizing his position as professional entertainer and simply take photo with gangster... :grumble:

I think this incident was discussed in la creme forum before, you can check there fro more info, in news about Nakai thread, first few pages.

I think its pretty funny that the media would have such a problem with Nakai simply taking a picture with them considering the entertainment industry in Japan has well known connections with the Yakuza.

Also, if a yakuza member asked to take a picture with you and you said no...I think something worse would've happened, you know.

(Dragostea Din Tei is OZONE's song, often sung by Takuya and Goro in the Hostman skit, this animation is from SxS ending song where OZONE guests and SMAP sing with them, in hostman-like costumes! KAKKOI!!! There are all members in the animation, but Shingo is the biggest one. The costumes in this animation picture looks exactly the same with what they wore in the ending song!!^^)


And if anyone interested, this is an English report of the Smappies event we held back in September 2005. I wrote this a long time ago, and thought I will post this in Freebird forum. But, later...I cancel that thought, since I thought, "Ahhh....who would care to read this report, anyway....". But since we're on the topic now....why not? Thanks for the information, I saw the image and was kinda laughing at how the magazine makes it so much bigger than what it is, with their huge flashy fonts and those blood drops in the background. I mean, REALLY! But I wouldn't be suprised if Nakai has friends from all walks off life, he seems like a people person and is someone who I think would embrace someone outside his circle.
