The same thing happened with Yahoo! And they won't let you revert back to the original home page style.

those f*ckers...i found a workaround as i mentioned above...so far it seems to be working....the new goolgle toolbar had this auto complete function everytime you entered a search term and even when i shut off that feature in the options menu it still would try to auto complete my search terms....i really hate that sh*t....just a personal peeve of mine...

Me too.

I hate being force fed that crap with no alternatives... Time to change homepages, I guess.

ARGH! i hate that autocomplete crap...i was going to chuck the entire toolbar if i had to deal with that nonsense.....but i got lucky...after reinstalling the old goole 3.xx toolbar i deleted the auto update files and .dlls and it seems to be working... :victory:

haha...well as you stated, the prices for flash memory must be dropping steadily....i mean i just read that certain laptop makers are not starting the inevitable switch to internal flash memory instead of hard drives.....that'll be the day...when most memory is flash, cheap, and plentiful in storage capacity.

It's actually perfect for laptops since they experience lots of shock and a flash drive would be safer.

They kept both versions around until Sept 1. That's when I made the change....by force.

I'm a kid on Christmas when it comes to tech stuff.

Even with the name change, I still don't think I can return stuff bought online to the physical stores....and I haven't tried, but last I recall, the brick and mortar did not honor prices from the online site. :bleh: :usuck:
