Just got a 15" MacBook Pro :dancing: It's currently running both Mac and Windows. Now I'm just hoping that Windows will run fine on this. :fingerscrossed: It's nice to have two operating systems running on one laptop.

It is a nightmare when it leaks, but not everyone is that unlucky.
I had a leak before with my first ever watercoolingset: it was sorta rubbish - well I had to find out the hard way: never ever buy blocks with plexitop and don't use premixed coolant of any kind.
My CPU block started leaking, dripping water on my vidcard (a 6800Ultra): instantly fried. (there appeared to be cracks in the plexitop)
Luckily I got everything replaced. Sold the watercooling parts immediately and went back to aircooling.
..and it took me about 4 months to get over it (read: aircoolers can only get you so far and it's still noisy) there was this fuss about this new german brand called Alphacool - and the critics were all good, I had to try out their stuff. Been running Alphacool setup for year and half now: I can recommend their blocks to anyone, it's affordable and delivers great performance. hmm I think I posted a pic before..

there you can see my "disco" :hehe: submerged pump and block lying there while I was waiting for my new dualcore CPU to arrive.
I clean my loop every 6 months, I thought I'd buy me new hoses, but then came along a new block (Swiftech Apogee GT) and a redefining pump from Laing with modded top, so um yeah
I assume replacing your PSU went well, uhno? (read few pages back, I was starting to get worried haha)

wow, neon lights inside the tower looks sweet
ROFL, I only turned on the blacklight for dramatic effects when I took that pic last year - normally it's off, I swear! :hehe:
my new setup won't have any bling, just plain tubes. The ones I used above are UV reactive tubes, valuable lesson learned from my first leak: don't use premixed (UV) coolant - now I use distilled water: even when it leaks it probably won't fry anything. And ofcourse extensive leaktesting is a must, right now I don't feel like doing it, takes hours..

lol, why

Drag.
I thought you might have the world's only self-sustaining personal nuclear home computer. :victory:
Don't say that out loud!
before you know, Bush will send troops to invade my country :beaten: :nyah:

Knowing Bush, he'll do it regardless. :shakehead:

Terryb ^ That's pretty neat. I'm gonna look into that type of cooling too. My Pentium D 840 gets hot. I have to constantly clean the fan. And then there's the noise....which I already complained about.
I actually haven't changed the PSU. No, I'm not scared....or lazy. I've been sooo busy with school.....ok....I'm a little scared. But I gonna do it this weekend for sure. See, but then I think, I have like 10 essays due next month, and if something happens to my comp, then I'm screwed.
Awww, you were worried....so sweet! :muack:

I think the fan being dirty and the CPU getting hot are two separate issues... ;)

Perhaps, but they are also related! :usuck: :hehe:
If the fan has dust, it won't effectively cool the CPU which would thus lead to a hot CPU.

Hmm, if your fan gets dirty that much/fast you should think about using filters on the intake side of your CPU...
Or clean your room. :P

My room is clean.....thank you very much! :hehe: :usuck:
How often do you clean your CPU fan?

Once a year, at most. :victory:

you're a girl? :hehe: :hot:
That's what I hate about aircooling: dust always get clogged up in the heatsink or fans. But hey I know people who never clean their towers, not a pretty sight. Just run a vacuumcleaner through your tower/case once in a while: world of difference.

Yup.
Preventative maintenance.

Why do you have a problem with me being a girl? Does that change anything? Girls can be interested in computers too, you know..... :hehe:
Vacuum cleaning? Really? Doesn't that mess up the electric stuff. You probably have to be really careful.

lol, absolutely not! I just never knew you were a girl  guys normallly wouldn't wouldn't :muack: eachother on forums
imagine me and racerboy going :muack: ROFL. we'd be like :beatyou: :cursing: :boxing: :nyah: :whipped: :shoot: :hadoken: :gay:
but yeah, vacuum cleaner is safe, it's just air right? First I wipe the dust with a cloth, then vacuumclean to finish the job. Ofcourse it would be safe to have your PC turned off :hehe:
