Just d/l it. Will try it as soon as I get back from the spa. It looks like the answer. Still would like to find software that special effects and color correction in one pass. But so far I have not found that. I suppose I can live with two passes then.

Yeech, laptops... I'm at my brother's house right now and I'm using his laptop... I HATE touchpad mice. :bleh:

I totally prefer the trackpads to the little 'zits' they stick int he middle of the keyboards. My laptop has both, thank Kamisama.

I always use Virtualdub to demux an AVI videostream.

Videohelp.com has a "how to" guide regarding demuxing the stream.

BTW, what do you guys recommend for a good, FREE FTP program for Win XP? SmartFTP was ok, but lately it doesn't start when you doubleclick it's icon. CoreFTP lite is too buggy, it crashes nearly every time you use it.

Any suggestions?

Ulead Video Studio 10 seems to have everything I need. It has DV capture. It has color correction and transitions... whoppee.... I'm experimenting with it now. It will take a while to learn everything that I need.... then I will report. So far I like it a lot.... most things are user intuitive...

If you're using that, it has a DV capture. I haven't tried it yet, but it should answer your request for a DV input.

Possibly securityfocus.com . The only problem is, by the time you find the password, your great great great great grand children will have graduated from high school.

Replying needs an account. Registration opens soon.
