Whenever I load any games it will be in full screen mode but problem is...the actual game only takes up about 1/2 of the entire screen. The rest of the space are pitch black. However my cursor is only limited within the "game screen" so I don't think that application is malfunctioning? How do I fix this problem?Pls help!!!Thank you all...

I sort of thought that everybody knew about Belarc Advisor.
Now I realize it's not that well known. So here's the link. I've been using it for several years now. In short it gives you a complete inventory of everything on your computer as wel as links to their locations. So you can see all the software with versions, all hardware, all updates with their dates.... etc.... in one compact document.
Just download the free download and then run it. Give it a few minutes as it takes a while to analyze your computer.

can anyone recommend an external DVD-RW ROM with a pretty cheap price? but good quality. i don't care about size (no matter how big it is) or whatever. just something that would last for a long time...

Sometimes I have the problem too. You can try use WMP to edit the tag.

I just right click on the name, select 'view file info' and edit the name (using romanji). The problem occur when the file is read only and I cant edit the name :mecry:

I mean use Windows Media Player to edit the tag. Just right click and select 'Advanced Tag Editor'

One thing that could cause this to happen is your video board. Do you ever get pixilations or stuck pixels??? The other thing that could be causing your problem is your memory. If you have a very complicated game and a complicated background it could be using up too much memory so your computer isnt able to put your game onto the entire screen. If it is memory related try to change your background to something simple like a solid color and try playing the game. Or close as many applications so your computer is not using alot of memory
If it is video board related make sure that your video board meets the qualifictions to play the game. Sometimes if it is really close the game will try to play yet it will not load correctly
I do have one question. How do you convert .srt files to wmv??

You can't.
.srt files are text files.
.wmv files are Windows Media Video.
Ok, I just had the weirdest computer problem today.
So, when I open the "Computer" Icon to access, say, a DVD-R of Nodame, it opens in Tile mode, grouped by Type. This is on Vista.
I have a folder named "Game FAQs" on my D: Drive where I keep hints and whatnot for my PS2 games. It is supposed to open in "Details" with three columns, Size, Type, and Date Modified. It has been this way for months without problems.
Today, for some reason, the Game FAQs folder opens up just like my Computer folder, in Tiles. So, I change it back. Then my Computer folder looks like my Game FAQs folder, in details with 3 columns. Changing one will now change the other, as if they were married.
Changing the name to Game FAQ (no s) solves this problem. A Game FAQs folder on the C: drive or a USB drive will not have this problem. With the original folder now without the "s", if I create a New Folder on D: and give it the "Game FAQs" name, the same messed up linkage with the Computer folder occurs with this new folder....
The name "Games FAQs" is now cursed on my machine. Well, on the D: drive anyway.

If you want to display the title, artist... in Japanese (Not in romaji), you need to either change the encoding in the player (they don't all support this and can cause more problems) or save the tags in Unicode.
If you have an iPod you can use tag 2.4. It'll work with Media Player 11, foobar, iTunes and many others. 2.3 should be fine too, if 2.4 doesn't work with WinAmp. (as long as you select UTF-16). Make sure you delete id3tag v1, they'll contains crap and you'll get lots of "????" and "||||". :)
You can edit them with Mp3Tag. Free, spyware free and easy to use.
How do you convert Torrent files to .avi or .wmv???
Ok, I figured out my folder problem. I decided that the database for the folder views was corrupted. So after some research, I found the two registry entries that keep the folder views data and deleted them. After a reboot, all is back to normal.
shiroi_tora wrote:How do you convert Torrent files to .avi or .wmv???
You don't, once the torrent has downloaded, you'll have a complete .avi (or whatever) file. The .torrent file just holds information for tracking etc.
