ok, i think this is a right thread

I have problem connecting my PS3 to my 32lg7000 tv. well, when i change ps3 resulotion to 1080p, tv screen goes blank and can't find sp3. it also tells me no signal. if i change the resulotion on ps3 to 1080i, it works fine.
i tried to chose 1080p setting automatically on ps3 but it does not do that at all.
changed HDMI cables, tried it with other tv and it works just fine. i only have this problem on my tv.
my brother says i may need to send it for repair because there is something wrong with its setting as it should find ps3 setting as i connect.
please help :puppydog: :puppydog: :puppydog:

Having lots of computer problems at home :( The power supply of my external HD has died. I'm waiting for advice from Western Digital about a warranty replacement. And last night, my monitor went black. I plugged another comp into it, and it worked, so I suspect it may be the video card in my comp :(

Update: I pulled the comp apart and re-seated the video card, then re-booted. The monitor is working again, so I guess the video card was just loose or something :fingerscrossed:

I would still like to get a new comp with Win 7 - there's a few places building really good systems for under $1K.. i'm tempted. (One includes 2TB of storage, and a 22" monitor)

I've had that happen with my downloading PC: the video card gets slightly loose and the thing won't boot or gives me beep tones...

Yow, a couple of TBs... That should keep you busy for a while. :victory:

Hmm, I reformatted the drive and ghosted a new image onto it and everything seems to be okay now..... :fingerscrossed:

Still no problems with that hard drive that was supposedly bad, according to my diagnostic software...

Maybe the reformat did the trick... But I'm very cautious.

The stupid PS3 was causing my LAN to drop out whenever I started it up. After some experimentation, I found it it caused the Linksys router to reset. Well, that is unacceptable as I need a stable network to steam J-Drama, not to mention it messing up my current downloads on my other computers.

I finally found that if I disable the UPnP in the router, the resetting would stop, but I don't want to manually forward all the ports that the PS3 may need for online gaming.

Thinking that it may be an old firmware issue, I downloaded the lastest firmware for the router. I just installed it, and so far the network as stayed up despite the PS3 being on and streaming music.

Hope that did the trick....
