Heh.. I was looking for a Wireless CF card for my pda.. never did find it so, when I got back home I ordered the Symbol one and later got a Ambicom one from Compusa (yuck!) they both are the same but the Ambicom gets a little bit more range.
Also for Best Buy, I only went to the store about 7 months ago, because I needed a Coax cable for my Logitch Speakers, and they were the only store that had it, I just said my hello's and good bye's and I was out.
speaking of Win. Media Player, what happens if your WMP is out of the desktop area, and you can't "move" it to where you can see it? How do you get it back?

- thx in advance!
Select it it the taskbar. Then press Alt+Spacebar -> m. Then you can use the mouse or arrow buttons to move it into view. :victory:
So im not actually doing this anymore, but maybe someone can answer, in case the pc comes back to me for another go round.
my mum got a Dell Dimension 9100 last week, and we need to upgrade it to Pro instead of XP Home.
When i try to reinstall a fresh copy, power to the usb ports shuts down, so in effect, the keyboard is rendered useless. So i can't get past the initial setup screen. there's no ps/2 ports, only USB.
Anyone know how to get around this, other than (i assume) purchasing a upgrade disc from Dell?

That's really odd. I woulda thought that the USB ports would be hot on power up and not under software control.
You might check the BIOS: my ex-officemate's Dell needed the USB enabled through the BIOS before anything would work.

Exactly, when you get the to setup page, where it says "Enter" to start installation. F3 to quit Setup, and R to repair, all the USB devices power down.
