After a $50 rebate. :grumble:

this one is listed with a 3ms response time.

Buy.com has the ViewSonic VX924 19 LCD Monitor 550:1, 3ms response for only $360 - $50 rebate (exp 12/11) = $310 w/ free shipping.

Ratio - 550:1 Contrast Ratio, Brightness - 270 Nit, Input Signal - RGB (Analog), Input Signal - DVI-D (Digital)

You have to pay sales tax with buy.com, though. :grumble:

Aren't they trying to implement a rule that will apply to all websites to charge taxes on purchases? Idk. I think I read it somewhere. Well, not really read, but skimmed over it kind of.

I think some legislators are trying to get something like that implemented, but there's obvious resistance.

You'd think it would force local retailers to be more competetive pricing-wise to offset the sales tax, but they're just crying foul instead.

I know that California asks you to pay for sales tax on items bought online that weren't charged it originally. It's one item on the 540 tax form. Needless to say, I did not buy anything online this year. ;) *shhh*

I just threw in like $56.39 or something like that on my 540 last year, didn't make a difference in my refund.

Nuts, missed out on a deal for the 20" widescreen Dell monitor: $334... Supposedly. :headscratch:

The local retailers' loss is the consumers' gain.

I'm still waiting for Besy Buy to crash and burn with all their goddamn rebates. :smack:

Getting confused with which LCD monitor to buy after reading all the reviews and reports... I'm starting to fall back towards a CRT, since they don't have response time issues and I edit a lot of videos and images...

it's like taking a step backwards, that bulky thing...
forget the confusing specs, just get something that is decent/good enough, main thing, they are coming down in price and they save a hell alot of space.

But videos and the like look choppy... That could get irritating over time.
