... or something better: a screen wall with 40" screen LCD. 15 across x 4 high. Only $772,452. A bargain. ;) to buy

I prefer my CRT over my slow 18ms LCD, but I guess a fast one, like a 4ms is just as good as a CRT.
You can also use both if you want to. Most video cards have 2 video out, so you can use the CRT and LCD at the same time, until your CRT dies.

From what I've read, the response specs aren't particularly standardized, so 4ms/8ms/12ms is misleading and can be good or bad. And most of the LCDs that I'm looking at appear to be only average in video/otion performance.

And that's why I'm tipping back towards the CRTs, bulk nothwithstanding.

My AGP card doesn't and I don't wanna buy a new card just for that.

Yeah, I'm cheap. :ashamed:

Me... No... but there's a rumor running around that Dr. Evil himself, a.k.a Bill Ga‚Äs, has one of these rig in his office.

He must have placed hidden cams in the women's bathroom at M$ and he's watching the cam feed with this. :hehe:

Yeah, I'm cheap. :ashamed:

That's understandable.

As for the response time, yeah, I've seen crap too. Like they advertise a 4ms time, but it's for gray to gray. From off to on to off it's 22ms, so you end up with something worst than a 60hz monitor. :beatyou:

I still have 2 CRT, because I need the 100hz refresh rate. Something I haven't found yet in any LCD monitors.

Yeah, crazy. He must have run out of ideas to spend his money on.

Exactly.

You see my dilemma now.

And I can get a kick-ass 19" CRT for just two bills.

Problem is, I can't fit the damn thing in my car. At least when it's in the box.  :banghead: :banghead:

well when yo have a few gazillion dollars you wipe your ass with hundred dollars bills and tend to forget the value of the sh*t. no pun intended.

Same problem here. The only way I managed to put one, a Viewsonic 19", in my Japanese car, is to flip the box on the side (the top facing the back seat). Since it's too heavy, I usually put the screen on the front seat and the box alone in the back. It's tight, but I managed to put it in without destroying the box.

With the box?

Even with the wider doors of a coupe, it was tough getting that 17" CRT box into the passenger seat.

Of course, if I bought it online, it's a moot point. ;)

It's Moops. Oh, my bad. Wrong thread. :hehe:

There's a 20" CRT sitting here at work. I'd take it home, but it's huge.

well, i did have to .. umm.. squish the corners a bit, but it fit through the doors, and since i drive an Auto, shifting wasn't a problem. If my car was stick, i'd have trouble with 5th gear probably.
