Leader... mmh, a few days back someone refered to Sho as the Backstage leader or something like (sorry I can remember the exact words  ) and I though thatLs so true. I mean, Ohno is a great to keep the group together, I agree with all of you. HeLs the glue, but the one who has the *tradicional-leader-personality* seems to be Sho. And I think they all know their role in the group, thatLs one of the reason they are so good together, because they know that each of them is indispensable in his own way to make Arashi keep going on!!!!!!!
fybabe, I saw Taboo... ... weird movie, I like it so much because of the scenary but when I saw it I was with my friends of Japanese class (all male, I was the only girl) and they freacked out in the yaoi scenes :hehe: I hope to watch Jun in some period movie... but no yaoi scenes, please.. ha haha

Does he really do that? Gosh, I need to pay more attention to Jun. Well, Jun is a super pretty boy so I wouldn't put it past him to do it to set himself apart from everyone else.

LMAO i don't care how he wears his yukata ,as long as he's got something on him!
damn, recently he's got a kick from stripping. i'd love to give that boy a hand!!!!
really??
i feel that he's more laid back than leader-ish. but we and the boys have all grown so used to having him around as 'leader' it's works itself out anyway. i believe they all know one another's standing in the group.
What?? I don't think Ohno is laid back... He has is own way to lead!
He's very strong, so each member can rely on him. Aiba wrote it in his letter.
He's able to get on well with everybody (well, maybe, except Nakai ^^; ), and everybody likes him. He has a special kindness.
He's naturally humble though he's very talented...
He's serious but he always wants to make the other laughing...
Ohno is leader-ish, but not the kind of leader showing himself; there are several kind of leaders... Ohno is a descreet yet powerfull, indispensable leader...
LEADER SAIKOU!! ^_^

come to think of it, i never thought of his style in wearing yukatas as 'look-at-me' attention grabbers, maybe i'm just used to seeing him in different styles than the others... it's easier to walk if the yukata is hitched higher don't u think?
as for sho being the 'underground leader' that's becoz he appears more outspoken whereas ohno is more self-effacing, he is a good leader becoz he let's the best person to do the job at hand do it...
Really, I'm sure his solo in the concert is super shocking. It's nothing for North American audiences to see since that stuff is everywhere but for a Johnny's boy to do the stripping?
Wish I could be there to shout "Ooooh, take it off, Jun!" Then I'll prolly get funny looks from the girls beside me, LOL.
p.s. Jun can't do a body roll.
EDIT
Oops, maybe I should make it clearer that I was replying to fybabe's stripping comment. I'm not coming outta nowhere, I swear!

i'm not gonna argue with a leader addict.
anyway, leader like a leader or not, there isn't anyone else more suitable anyway.
Sho is too intellectual he'll pressurize the rest, Nino is too temperamental, Jun is not confident enough, aiba...
so you simply don't know why is jun doing that... oh well :P
and as for the leader thing, i always used to think they only call ohno leader but as a matter of fact jun used to be the one who did the talking/introducing and so on. now jun somehow stopped doing that and sho got the new position. but i love the way they ask ohno for his opinion as the truthful leader...

wow! wish you were there with me! wish you girls are all with me, imagine the crazy fun!!!
but i was yelling by myself already anyway! i doubt jun can hear me from so far away though... sucks... imagine we can scream altogether and the effect will be marvelous!!!
EDIT
ya, kchan, i totally agree that ohno is like a balancer or a mediator! that's what those boys need with their strong personalities.

u won't be the only one shouting that if i'm there beside u!! :naughty: :naughty:
back to ohno being a leader, they made a good choice when they chose him in the utaban episode. still as a group, they are very cohesive... and i think that is what their new album is all about.. being individuals and yet as a group...

i love their bond. and i think this is a very meaningful album.
aw i wish so much i understood all the japanese right away!
i've been listening to subarashiki sekai alot these few days. and everytime i hear it, i feel really optimistic about life! it's got a truely positive vibe and i just feel like jumping up and shouting and smiling at everyone around me.
the other song from the album i like is overture. feels so 'in'. and so sunshine. everytime they sing 'oh... i love my girl...', i would automatically change the lyrics to 'oh... i love my guy...'

really love those boys!!!
Everytime I hear Sho sing "cock-a-doodle-doo" I just wanna giggle like crazy. I always wonder how they know english things like that but can't put a sentence together! *shakes head*
Do they ever realize how much english they use? Like, so many Ohno songs have english lyrics and yet he's supposed to have the worst english out of all of them. Does he know what he's singing??

You'd better not... :hehe: ^_^
Well, doing all the talking/introducing parts doesn't mean being a leader. That's two different jobs. He's Arashi Leader, while Sho is Arashi's "spokesperson" and Jun is Arashi's "brain".
If there are some leaders who are doing all of those jobs, that means that the other members don't have interesting personalities! That's why I think a descreet leader is the best for them... They couldn't become as cool and self confident as they are with a leader taking there place.
as much as i like the new album...its not as upbeat as thier previous stuff...but any album that gives me a really great ohno solo gets big props from me!

nicely said dachoo, perhaps you're right ne....
baby when you wrote about sho it reminded me the funniest gigle he ever did (at least in my opinion) when they were fishing some strange fish and they wanted it to be as big as possible, it was d no arashi. can't remember which one though
I really like the album... It's very cute from start to end.
You know what? Natsu no namae often makes me cry... Well, I know I'm toooooo sensitive... ^^; But that's a wonderful song, as Subarashiki sekai...
And I was very surprised by Aiba's solo... It's so nice! When I hear his "respect your liiiiife..." at the end, that makes me feel good! ^_^
natchan, as much as i love their genki songs, i think they are also getting more matured as a group and should explore other styles too. besides, i think they can start to explore slightly more mellow songs.
eg. i love subarashi sekai coz it's sort of evolved from the hyper kawaii hadanashi no mirai style, or even the genki sakura sake style to something slightly toned down but still meaningful and optimistic.
and overture is more 'creative' sounding for me.

from the songs that i have accidentally heard i liked subareshi sekai too... the preview pv was kinda cool...
i've yet to listen to ohno's rain... ai-girl, is it good or are his solos in previous years better?
well...its really hard for me choose between all his singles ^_^ i love them all for different reasons! i'm not really the best person to give an unbiased opinion on anything Ohno does...especially his singing ^_^
I love all of Ohno's songs equally...he could sing the alphabet song and i would be breathless ^_^
