I'm baaack! I must make a comment on the Sho's singing topic, even if it's kinda passed already.

Sho-kun, Sho-kun, you're hot as hell and you turn me on but your singing sounds like dogs howling at the moon. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration. He's not that bad but when you put him beside someone who really can sing (i.e. the actress who played Maria in WSS), you can notice the difference in quality.

Anyway, his rapping makes up for it. I agree with fy-chan, Arashi just isn't Arashi without Sho's rapping. Well, Arashi isn't Arashi without any of the boys but you get what I mean.

Ahh, this topic has exploaded. So many pages while I was off one day... To be honest I skipped about 3 pages, its so late and Im tired to read them.

I must admit i don't really pay much attention to Sho singing but I have to agree that the rapping help define Arashi. I remember reading that Johnny tend to give each group a certain style of singing like Tokio was suppose to be rock and Arashi rapping. But perhaps they should share the rapping and not let Sho do all of it.

Ah leader. I used to think that he just didn't fit the position and that sho would have been mre suitable. But seeing your comments, I am beginning to change my mind. Helping to keep the team together is quite important. Something that make Arashi unique among other Johnny group is how close they are even when not working

Maybe u had seen it before. Its Sho's solo in 2000 con(Suppin). Even they are not good at singing at that time(i think they're too young except Ohno kun), I finally found that the thing attracted me, is not only the song , mostly is the expression in their eyes, :inlove: so serious and so staunch even they were very young at that time...

i've always thought that no matter how kakkoi or stylish his looks are sometimes, i always think that maybe coz he seems more mature sometimes than the other guys that i feel he's the most 'feminine' of the lot. not in a bad way! he's always reserved and watching the other guys... like really sweet. i feel he places himself abit below the other guys. i dun think he's a very confident fellow. he's a sweetheart!

i actually love ALL of the guys' solo's on the album. they sound soo amazing. all their voices are so different, but they make it work. tho they are my favourite boys, jun and sho, i must admit, they are the worst singers of the group. jun does have his really nice moments, but then he gets pitchy and nasally.

and sho's voice is all raspy... it's sexy and all, but not that great for singing?? it's a double edged sword prolly... but i think he actually sounds really cool in his solo. i know i'm contradicting myself, but i wanna think that jun and sho are good singers cause they're so unbelievable sexy!!

as much as i like arashi....and as much as i like each of the boys in their own way....

for me, sex appeal has no bearing on how someone sings....just because someone is sexy, doesn't mean they can sing...and vice versa

look at marianne faithfull....al green...and tons of soul singers that voices send shivers over my skin because their voices are so amazing...most of them look are not super attractive.

people seem to mistake what i said about sho...i never argued that he can rap. he is a fair rapper...but i don't care for rap...therefore, the rap parts of the songs have little or no impact on me. but i do not care for the way he sings...i'm sorry, but for me, rapping isn't singing.

i totally agree. just because they're good looking doesn't mean they're good singers. i just WISH they could be tho... and i don't like rap either. never been a big fan of it. tho sho's rapping HAS grown on me, somewhat, i still don't really like his rapping portions. not the greatest singer or rapper, but still one of my favourite arashi members for some really strange reason!

me agrees too... arashi wont be arashi without sho's rapping... well those rapping part are written by him, i think that makes it easier for him to rap something he made up himself, but to be fair i think his singing is better compared to other singer out there... errr wont be mentioning names who the other singers are... just dont let him sing those english lyrics

yeah, but believe me even if their music is genki if they couldnt sing well, i wont be in here blabbling, so that means that those boys did PASS my standard on what you so called SINGING and i do regard them as singers. on Jun's singing like dying cat? errr... think i TOTALLY DISAGREE with you. it just happen that he got a not so nice melody in his song, coz i remember he sings well on his solo last year. Noticed ohno's, nino and jun's voice did improve alot since their jr days. gommen i didnt really pay much attention to aiba's and sho's singing on those sugao concerts.
