THANKS A LOT POCHIPOCHI!! :say_thanx: I enjoy the translation. I only could understand this phrase: "wo ai ni" I think it means "I love you". And this phrase: "Is it like that?". After that, he even honestly told the fans "I smoke and drink. But when I am on the stage, I will sing with my heart and not let you down". It's beautiful. :inlove: We already knows what Hyde likes eat and sleep every time!!
And thanks too for the asian live book, I downloading in this moment ;)

Thanks for the translation. Yet this brings up a question I have been wondering about for a while. How long has hyde been a regular smoker, and do you think it has or will affect his singing ability?

I don't think it has yet; I still think he sounds great, but I still wonder if it could be a problem in the future. I've also read a review of the live USA DVD that pretty much said that hyde has been smoking for too long and that he can't sing live very well anymore. I would have to disagree with that.

I got new news. haha.
Fortunately, I got Japanese translation using yahoo tool then I vaguely understand.
Chinese fans were so excited, and at last, they cried, or something like that.

Somewhere, I heard I can see the video from Shanghai.
If I find, I'll put here!

I think smoking can affect someones voice so I really wish hyde would stop smoking! (not to mention for his health too!)...but I agree with you that I don't think it has affected his voice yet. Of course I haven't heard him in person, so not sure if it sounds different, but comparing their TV performances and concerts, I think he sounds as good as ever. During his 666 tour, his voice sounded really rough, but then I thought he sounded great in the SMILE tour DVD and in all of their recent TV performances, so maybe he was singing in a rough style on purpose during 666?

He smokes from fifteen years (I think) and this can affect her voice. In a concert it doesn't appreciate completely the voice of a singer and besides it is different that in a study of recording. I think that he probably has lost a bit of her voice because already he doesn't do treble (sharp, high...I don't know to say it) so impressive as in Ibara no Namida or other songs. From the album Smile her voice is more low though it continues being really good, demonstrates it in songs as Jyoujyoshi. To the whole world it affects him smoke, unfortunately and though we don't create it he is not a god.

gomenansai for my english...I don't know to say some phrases :pout:

I skipped right to the interview...

*screams accompany hyde's appearance on the stage*

hyde: 你们D! (Hello!)
audience: D! (Hello!)
hyde: 谢谢! (Thank you!)

*screams again*

host A: He did not only learn one phrase! (referring to hyde's use of Chinese). Let's invite hyde to say a few words to everyone!
hyde: Today I came over here from Korea. It was very wild at the airport in Korea. When I reached here, I thought that it was even wilder than Korea! I thought that I was going to die!

host A: If I may ask, are there any plans for the set list in this Shanghai live?
host B: I heard that in Japan, before this live, websites gathered feedback from fans online about the songs they would love to hear most.
host A: Really? How come I didn't know about it?
hyde: Really? No matter what, we have prepared a performance that will make everyone high!

host A: Fans in Shanghai have waited for L'Arc as long as 7 years. Although this is L'Arc's first vist, many of the fans here are already familiar with the band's image from the previous lives. I wish to ask hyde, what kind of image are you preparing for this live? For example, your hairstyle etc.
hyde: Hairstyle? Like this, here (pulls up some of his hair on top of his head), make these hair hard.

*hyde then looks around while still holding his hair*

hyde: Here. Just those hair. *screams again*

[I am totally unsure of this, maybe someone can re-translate the Japanese words! But I did remember seeing hyde pulling his hair in the videos!]

host A: In future, will you keep long hair again?
hyde: Ah? Long hair? Actually its really not bad, just that it's too troublesome to keep them neat and tidy.

host B: Today there were so many fans at the airport and so many here as well at the theatre. Wonder what does hyde feel?
hyde: Everyone is very cute! *screams again* My heart is beating very fast!

host A: Besides doing live and composing, what does hyde normally do i.e.interests? Say for example, eating, sleeping?
hyde: I lke it! (answers very fast) I love to eat stuff like Peking Roast Duck, àu饭 (fried rice, although he didn't pronounce this too well). *after a reminder from host B* Ah! And Xiao Long Bao!!! (¬笼•ï, soup dumplings)

host B: During the live, are you planning any activities to interact with the audience?
hyde: Yes. I've been enjoying it recently. In Japan and Korea. Yes. In Korea, we did the "wave"! We played the "human wave" with the fans during the Korea live. If we can play happily like that in Shanghai as well, it will be great!

host A: The four members of L'Arc have very different musical styles. As a single entity like L'Arc, how does everyone co-ordinate?
hyde: Yes. Actually, everyone just brings those songs that he feels is not bad for discussion. That is, it is like you are a solo artist, then later, the remaining three people will then make modifications to the song or offer suggestions etc.

host B: hyde's voice is very charming. Then how does hyde rate his own voice?
hyde: Is it like that? (using a very high-pitched voice) Actually, I don't really notice or take care of it. Usually there are alot of bad practices, like inhaling alcohol, smoking...(notices that he said the wrong word) Em? Inhaling alcohol? (laughs) It is wrong. It should be drinking wine and smoking. But...I am beautiful inside right?

*screams*

reporter question

reporter: I heard that both sides (Jap-China) have been preparing this live for 7 years long! Just to ask, L'Arc~en~Ciel's decision to come Shanghai this year, were you influenced by GLAY? Also, L'Arc~en~Ciel has done lives in US and Korea, in countries where language barriers exist, how are you going to get everyone into the right atmosphere?
hyde: Yes. In US, and just a few days ago in Korea. Not really. We did a live in Korea, a country with language barriers, but even in such a country, if we were able to make the fans high, isn't it a greater thing compared to lives in Japan?

fan question

fan: To L'Arc, what do they hope to receive from fans?
hyde: Em...(thinks for a long while, making some noise, probably like "Emmmmmm") Love *screams* and vocal support. Loudly.

Jap reporter question

reporter: This time L'Arc is doing a live in Shanghai. Japanese fans who have been staying in Shanghai for a long time will be going to the live. Can you please say a few words to these people?
hyde: Yes! There are still these people. We hope that these Japanese in Shanghai can come to the live, so that we can let them experience the best ROCK & ROLL in Japan!!!

*hyde is then presented with some award for AWAKE's excellent sales there, and before he leaves...*

hyde: ‰ä爱你!!! (I love you!!!) Ä见!!! (Goodbye!!!)

Compared to frenzy of queueing overnight to buy L'Arc~en~Ciel's 5000 yuan VIP tickets, the sight of fans crying en masse at the meet-the-fans session with its lead vocalist was indeed a real eye-opener. Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel will performing on 10/09 at the Shanghai Grand Stage. This is the first time, since their formation, that they are holding a concert here. Yesterday afternoon, the band's lead vocalist hyde came to Shanghai in advance to meet the fans. Inside the theatre, fans went all crazy and screamed at his arrival, with their voices reaching the roof of the theatre. The wild atmosphere shocked even hyde himself.

We know that the band began its tour of Asia in September this year, after the 03/09 performance in Seoul, Korea, they will be performing for the first time in Shanghai on 10/09. After which, they will end the tour with performances in Tokyo Dome, Japan. Since the end of 1999, there has been rumours that L'Arc~en~Ciel were coming to Shanghai. But it was nothing more than an endless cycle of hope followed by disappointment for the fans. The band's lead vocalist, hyde, expressed that he was looking forward to the 10/09 live at the Shanghai Grand Stage, (hyde) "L'Arc~en~Ciel will give the Chinese fans the most sensational rock music, when the time comes, hope that the fans will do the hand gesture representing love up in the air and interact with us!"

As the admission to yesterday's fan meeting session was given to those who bought the tickets after the 1st of September, many of the fans who had bought them earlier had been forced to buy the tickets again so that they could be close to hyde. And even more fans could only chase hyde from the airport to outside the theatre. Even crazier fans spent the night in the airport awaiting the arrival of hyde's flight.

11.15am. Having obtained knowledge of hyde's arrival, fans could no longer contain their emotions and began their endless screaming. The host, on many occassions, tried to control the situation, but without much success. Only when the host "threatened" that hyde would not appear, did the fans finally calmed down. But as soon as the main attraction appeared, the entire theatre erupted into screams again. The wild reception shocked hyde! Only after a while did hyde regained his composure to greet everyone in Chinese. hyde said "I am very excited. Now I know, Shanghai fans are even more passionate than Korean fans, I wasn't sure at first if the Chinese liked our music. Today's atmosphere was something that I totally did not expect beforehand!"

In the interview that followed, although hyde did not said alot in response to the questions, everytime he opened his mouth, every little action that he made, every smile that he gave, drew cries and screams from the fans who even competed with the reporters for the right to ask hyde questions. The session was only 45 minutes long before it ended. After hyde left, many fans in the theatre were unwilling to leave, so emotional that they were left rooted to their seats in tears.

so them more fans can see it for long time.

My dream is we have somewhere like L'arc data base website where I can read lots of their translations at once. (I don't think I can make such a lot by myself, but I hope many fans gonna cooporate to make it)
Actually, I'm gonna busy after I go back to Japan then it's dificult for me though.

voices of (Japanese) fans:
Korean fans are so cute, and some of them can speak Japanese!
Korean people were so kind! they tried to translate what member said.
When I was in the train, an old drunk guy swore at me, but a young guy protected me from the guy, and a young lady scolded him too. I impressed Korean people have bravery.
pen light (Sairium) and board were obstacled to see the stage a little...
I couldn't listen hyde's song well because of their big chorus...
Korean food was great! and inexpencive! I'll be back Korea someday again!
There is no anti-Japan stuff there.
A fan next by me was saying "Hyde-san Kawaii, hyde-san kakkoii...hyde-san, hyde-san" again and again like delirious utterances.
