Does Norway and Florida qualify as East-West? :beaten:

 Most definitely!
Just a spin of the globe.
Inter-ethnic relationships can be interesting or at least enlightening.
Often, we are drawn towards that which is different, hoping that the devil we don't know is better.
I'm what they used to call a "Squaw Man", attracted to ladies with brown eyes who talk funny. :)

I actually have more in common with him than my ex who was from the BEach cities in SoCal. Probably because Im from NYC. More European influence there perhaps.
East girls like Japan is my type and i'm not interested with euro or english girls. I don't know why.
ok...where do i begin.
i was seeing/dating this great girl for just over a month,
but still in that phase of not where it was headed,
we finally had our talk over the phone.
It unfortunately had to end, as she told me honestly that
she was still dealing with some personal issues with her ex-bf,
and that it would be unfair for her and I to continue to date.
We ended our dating respectfully, and it was tough but I think she made the right decision. Thankfully she and I did not progress very far emotionally or physically. I hope the best for her, but I am still disappointed and sad it didn't work out. Although she and I never reached the "exclusive relationship status" and we were just casually dating, it kinda does feel like a minature breakup. But my search continues. :bonk:
oh, we met via online dating, so....casual dating is understood until if and when it reaches exclusivity. Life goes on.

sounds almost similar to the last girl i was dating.... i thought we clicked pretty well and she used to say things that made it seem like we'd prob have a future together
but that didn't work out and i felt really down for a few weeks... but yup, life goes on
i like to think bout it like this... (supposedly) only one relationship is gonna work out.. so the rest are always bound to end.. so keep on searchin -.-
A friend of my Mom said that the best cure for a broken heart was going out and trying to get it broken again. :beaten:

easier said than done! i think it's easier for women (around my age) to find dates than us men.. or maybe that's just me =[

 Of course, youre right.
But.. if you dont go out or try the web you certainly will never meet anyone.
Im speaking of the in general "you" not you personally.

exactly...
i feel my situation is quite different.
as i mentioned it was thru a dating website, and well it is implied that
there could be other prospects.
I had 2 dates this past weekend, one worked out, the other fell apart.
in that order, so my weekend has been a rollercoaster.
fair enough, nothing is/was exclusive with my main interest, but that fell apart, and left me feeling like a broken heart, but not exactly since we never really reached that romantic "level", it was only in the early progressive stages of dating, hopefully leading up to it, but ended abruptly. I think I am a little hurt and disappointed that it didn't progress further as I liked her a lot, yet I was holding back since it was a casual dating situation, and nothing more. Although this feels like a breakup, officially it is NOT one since we were never really in any sort of exclusive dating relationship, and i was casually dating another girl. To be fair, we openly discussed this early on in our dating, and it was understood. I am upfront and fair as i hope she(the girl i am dating, whoever she is)understands and is on the same page as me on communication.
With that said, my focus can be put on the other girl and continuing my search. It is kind of an odd situation to be in, with not knowing what is going on, and never really knowing until it either ends, or it is openly communicated and discussed.

I think with my situation, i knew that this girl i was seeing, we did click and get along, i sensed the chemistry, YET i did feel that there was some uncertainty as we never reached that level. We didn't discuss it until yesterday when she ended it. I can understand from your perspective of feeling down and not having things work out. It could take a few weeks or so, because i know that I will be thinking of her often. But I also know I will not have much time to dwell on it as I am still in the dating scene. I think for me, just knowing that we did our part and things still ended up this way, it will be easier for me to accept the loss. She is a nice girl and I hope the best for her, honestly, but the truth still hurts.
yes, Keep Searchin' as I always say and believe, until you find the person you are looking for in love. :victory:
^ Sorry to hear about that Q.
Wish I could offer some sage words, but I think you've pretty much analyzed and rationalized it all on your own. :victory:

thanks...
considering this is just part of the process in seeking love,
I am all for it, and ready to go.
but i quite honestly feel more encouraged with
online dating.
Yeah, i have analyzed it during, and now after this recent encounter,
(i cannot really call this a breakup, since she and I were never in an exclusive relationship, we were only dating-casually).
Rationalizing and thinking it over, has helped me accept things easier.
